I saw it in the theater a couple of years ago. It was fantastic…again.

“ The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.”

”what? ‘Cause a watery tart says so?”

When I was in the Navy aboard ship we had Monty Python’s 1st 3 movies and a bunch of tapes of their TV episodes. One Sunday shortly after I went aboard we were cruising the IO (Indian Ocean) and the SITE TV guy decided to make the day “Monty Python Day” from like 08:00 to 21:00 hours. The Holy Grail played twice.

From that day on, lines from Money Python were uttered for all occasions or just to get a laugh.
When we were doing anything in regards to breaking out guns, ammo, armaments, special tools…pretty much anything, someone would sing out “BRING OUT THE HOLY HAND GRENADE”.
I must have heard this line thousands of times yet it never fails to make me, and everyone of Python Social Standing, laugh.

Before I retired I had a number of people working for me that were born years after Monty Python’s movie The Holy Grail came out.
One day we were working on setting up a piece of equipment and we needed a large gauge from one of our tool lockers in one of our storage rooms.
The Foreman tells a guy to go get the gauge. As the guy is just coming out of the storage room door I loudly sing out “Bring out the Holy Hand Grenade” in my best Monty Python exaggerated British accent and all of a sudden everyone is laughing and guys that I would have never expected to have even heard of Monty Python were reciting lines from their shows and movies.
This went on until I retired and I am sure it’s going on now. :)
