This is NOT a commercial post. I did not ask Moderator permission however, since it was granted for the request, I hope it’s ok that I’ve posted a Thank You. 🥰

When I posted asking for help during End of Trail, @Boggus Deal #64218 and @Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655 responded! Many others stopped by to see if they could help - many of the Arizona Rangers and Match Officials did as well. ! Thank you all, too!

Boggus Deal and Captain Dan’s son, Dan, who we named “Lt. Dan”, were so very helpful.

I have known Boggus Deal for a long time. Boggus Deal’s help was priceless -  securing/opening the tent with the winds howling as well as with projects I didn’t have time for and for which Tommy didn’t have the eyes…

We met “Lt Dan” on Sunday before the match started when he came by with his Dad to meet us and figure out a schedule. He was a wee bit shy and said he didn’t know the cowboy game but that he’d do his best to help everyone who stopped by. OMG! By the end of the week, “Lt Dan” was gunning for “Employee of Week”. He learned all about the products, spoke to customers - “we offer a lot of products but bullets and powder are our bread and butter”. 🤣🥰. There were times I sat back and watched! Boggus and I were laughing with each other saying, “I thought he said he was shy”!

Thank you guys so much! You made the week SUCH FUN, gave me the chance to shoot the match,  not fret over Tommy, and enjoy ourselves.

Thank you to this community for the outpouring of concern, prayers, love and kindness for Tommy.  You announced yourselves since he can’t recognize faces and didn’t make it awkward. We all have battles that we are facing - and ours is fully public now…Tommy is more private than I and was a little unsure how things would go…it was a busy week, we were tired but boy, we felt some love.

With all the hugs and love I possess!

Scarlett

Oh, 2200 lbs of lead came on a pallet.  Lt Dan was moving so fast Boggus had to ask him to slow down! 😂

Boggus Deal and Tommy securing the tent for the night with the desert winds was no small feat.

It was an honor to be able to help you and Tommy out. As much as you have done for me, for the game and for the junior shooters who are not only the future of this game but shooting in general.
That Lt. Dan nearly wore me out!

Scarlett, you are such a sweetheart and a huge benefit to the SASS community and you deserve all the love and help our folks could give. I'm happy you did receive help at this challenging match. I did not attend this one, but I've been there before and Arizona can be difficult at times. Thanks to Tommy for keeping you on the straight and narrow (yeah, right). You guys are the best and I can't wait to see you again soon.

Oh the HUGS... 🥰

And one of the biggest kept secrets when visiting Scarlett's vendor tent is that Tommy is a Hoot.

He's a blessing to talk with and listen too.   And indeed, he has great knowledge of shooting

experience in other shooting disciplines.   He and I usually talk about 1911's and other

'non-cowboy' guns because he is well versed in a lot of stuff.

As others read this, just continue to pray for Tommy's eye sight.   Your thoughts and prayers

are coveted.

Scarlett, those 2 pards did an excellent job and represented Bullets By Scarlett well. I believe I stopped by on Monday and the bullets had arrived a short time before and Lt. Dan knew exactly where my order was. I’ve known Boggus Deal for many years and I knew he’d do whatever it took to keep things running smoothly in your tent. Glad you’re home and we’ll see you next year.

Knowing how tirelessly Capt. Dan works to keep all of the Rangers fed and happy, it’s no surprise that Lt. Dan is a “chip off the old block”. We’re so happy that it all worked out for you and are all looking forward to seeing you back next year. 348 days to go!
