Spiritmaker Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 It has been years since I watched Laurel and Hardy. Brought back memories of some outstanding times! Thanks for posting
Dawg Hair, SASS #29557 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Great way to start the day. Thanks SDJ.
Alpo Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Bud and Lou. People quote that all the time, and most of them get it wrong. "Four score and seven years ago our forefathers brought forth ..." No. And people that say it that way need to be beat. "Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth ..." Not forefathers. Fathers. Look it up. Idiots.
Spiritmaker Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Whoops! Yep, Bud and Lou. I had my comedian team wrong.

Quote There are five known copies of the speech in Lincoln's handwriting, each with a slightly different text, and named for the people who first received them: Nicolay, Hay, Everett, Bancroft and Bliss. Two copies apparently were written before delivering the speech, one of which probably was the reading copy. The remaining ones were produced months later for soldier benefit events. Warden Callaway Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Laughton did a pirate movie comedy with Abbott and Costello. He apparently loved those guys.
Alpo Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 I don't know about Quasimodo being his best character. But Ruggles is one of the best movies I've ever seen. As long as we're talking about the Gettysburg Address.
Warden Callaway Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 We watch Witness for the Prosecution at least once a year.
Alpo Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 "Sir Wilfred. Don't forget the brandy!" Another excellent movie.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 He played a great Captain Bligh opposite Clark Gable.
