8 days after surgery i was cleared with no restrictions. I shot Fire and ice the next day with good results except for a  trifecta. 4 days later At EOT I was 1 of 35 shooters with a clean match.   It's been awhile since I shot a clean match and  now I know why! I had the left eye today and hopefully with the same results. Matt black was lucky I only had 1 good eye. Lol

Good to hear! I go in for my left eye next Thursday then right eye on the 27th.  I've seen lots of good reports from shooters following the surgery. We'll see how it goes. Good luck to you.

Glad your first went well..     I've had mine for 12 years now.    Too much staring at computer screens back when they were cathode ray tubes shooting into your eyes.

good luck on next, GJ

glad to hear of your good results

mine went from legally not able to drive due to vision to 20/20 and 20/30.  no need for glasses other than safety when shooting and sun when out in the bright Texas sun.

best of luck on the next one--remember the third one is free 😁

Never gave the cathode ray tube a thought. I repaired televisions for several years and was up close and personal with p tubes and high voltage. And for sure, corona on occasion.

Had both eyes done 11-13 years back. Had to use readers for close up afterwards and a couple different strengths depending on how close! Now I'm back to progressive glasses. Nice thing is that the clarity is good and clear. What a difference from having the cataracts!

Knowing how fast you shoot before surgery, I am fully expecting light to be bending around you as you shoot and the timer going negative so that you finish a stage before you start it.

Barring infections, cataract surgery today is pretty easy and successful.  I remember when my grandfather had his done, must be at least 70 years ago, he had to lie in bed for a week with sandbags on either side of his head. And even then, his vision was never very good.  I had both eyes done just as the COVID epidemic started. Never had a problem. Just had my annual retina check, and my distance vision is 20/20 in both eyes.  I still use readers for reading and computer work, but had gotten to that point in my 40's, anyway.  Doesn't help with my shooting, as I've now got arthritis in my right shoulder and my right thumb, so I'm pretty much retired from shooting. :(

Good luck on your other eye.
