Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Looks like dolphins are competing with Aussie “drop bears”. Glad this worked out for all involved. I love to hear these blokes explain it to the boat insurer. https://apnews.com/article/dolphin-boat-zealand-fishing-northland-bottlenose-421fbe9a3175eea93159238dfcad61b1 1 Quote
Pat Riot Posted March 6 Posted March 6 900 pounds must be exaggerated. 400, maybe. Unless AP uses a different scale…Oh, wait…It’s AP. Of course it’s exaggerated. Unless that dolphin they’re showing is just a stock image. 2 Quote
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Well, possible… Quote Large bottlenose dolphins in the Pacific may be 3.7 m (12 ft.) and weigh 454 kg (1,000 lbs.). In the Mediterranean, bottlenose dolphins can grow to 3.7 m (12 ft.) or more From https://seaworld.org/animals/all-about/bottlenose-dolphin/characteristics/ coastal dolphins are typically smaller. watab kid Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) biggest thing i ever had jump in our boat was a three pound bass that jumped in our canoe came back to add that it was what we were fishing for at the time but neither of us expected that we were both paddling at that time, in a rapids , our poles were stowed at that moment , but it was a nice smallmouth Edited March 7 by watab kid Quote
