Stumptown Galute Posted March 3 Posted March 3 As close as I can tell, these grips fit a Ruger Old Army with the "dragoon" frame. I have included measurements so you can check the dimensions of your grip frame before you commit to buying. Money order preferred. $250 OBO plus shipping. I can send more pics to seriously interested parties. Thanks for looking.
OK Dirty Dan Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Using the chart on Texas Grips' website for Ruger revolvers, I don't think these fit the Ruger Dragoon grip frame. Texas Grips calls it Super Blackhawk but notes it's also referred to as Dragoon. Using that chart, perhaps it's the XR3 gripframe it fits? Looks to be the closest to matching the dimensions you provided. Just food for thought--lovely grips one way or another.
Stumptown Galute Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 That is exactly why I took the dimensions and posted them here. I don't want anyone thinking they will work and then wanting to send them back to me.
Stumptown Galute Posted March 5 Author Posted March 5 Somebody make me an offer on these nice stag grips. Otherwise they will just go back in a drawer and be forgotten.

They were standard with the .44 Magnum Super Blackhawk for many years as a steel frame. Ruger also made that frame in brass and some of those wound up on Old Armys as well as some of the regular Blackhawks. I once bought a used 3 screw .357 Magnum that came with a factory brass Dragoon frame. I have several of them and they all wear the same grips. I measured one of my Dragoon frame(s) just eye balling using a tape measure and the dimension at the far left in your diagram on my grip frame is roughly 3.25” NOT 3.062”. The dimension at the bottom of the diagram on my grip frame is roughly 2.375” and NOT 2.062”.
Ethan Cord Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I did not see that OK Dirty Dan had already mentioned Texas Grips. I have not purchased any grips from Texas Grips yet, however he has a chart on his webpage which may help the seller and potential buyer understand what Ruger they will fit. Which Ruger Grip Panels Fit My Frame Hopefully this is helpful amigos.
