Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I recently obtained one of these and noticed the following on the receiver. It looks too large to be a crack but there could have been some corrosion. But, I also don't see why there would be a gap. Gap or Crack? Repair or leave as is? (The gun functions properly.) Quote
Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (edited) I’m not seeing in the photos what are trying to describe. OK I see what you are talking about now. Edited March 2 by Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Quote
H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Well, mine does not have that gap, so I'd say it's a crack. On the one hand, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. On the other hand, that doesn't look right, and it might lead to problems later if left alone. I assume this is a .22 Long, and will only get CB ammo, but I'd still be concerned about the opening. If it were mine, I'd have it fixed. I'd go to Lassiter, myself. Quote
KingSnake Posted March 2 Posted March 2 It ‘looks’ like corrosion created the gap. But as thin as it appears to have been originally, it couldn’t have provided much strength. Quote
