Alpo Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Yeah I know Another board somebody posted a riddle, saying they would give the answer later. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HIPPO AND A ZIPPO? And several people have guessed. None of the answers are particularly funny, but they all made sense. For example: What is the difference - the first letter What is the difference - one is heavy and the other is a little lighter See those two would actually be the correct answer to that riddle. Especially if it was a dad joke. But one guy's answer was --- 18. What is the difference between a hippo and a Zippo? 18 That makes absolutely no sense to me. Does it make sense to anybody here? Or is this just an example of somebody throwing out some words?

PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Count the number of letters between "H" and "Z".

One is big and heavy, the other is a little lighter. Little lighter. Small lighter. Dad joke. I'll see myself out.

Black Angus McPherson Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 Maybe a reference to another old dad joke. "There are only so many jokes and we know them all, so instead of repeating the whole joke we just call out the joke number......." "18" (noone laughs) "It's not the joke, it's how you tell it." Angus

Alpo Posted March 2, 2025 Author Posted March 2, 2025 The answer has been revealed. The difference between hippo and Zippo - the first letter.
Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted March 2, 2025 Posted March 2, 2025 I like the heavy and light better

Understandable, since OCT 31 = DEC 25. And hey, ASCII a stupid question, get a stupid ANSI.
