It seems kinda cheap and cheesy. It IS out of the way, and as long as it doesn't move, shouldn't be an issue, it seems, just curious. is there a safety delet for this, if I wanted to get rid of it?

Okay, it is very easy to remove on the Rossis and it looks like it is the same on the Heritage.  Remove the bolt, drive the pin out, then you can lift the safety out [watch the spring]. The hole remaining is easily filled with a cut down .25 ACP case.

Use the remove kit that Abilene Slim just posted about from Stevesgunz 

It's truly the easiest and best you can get .

I have done several of mine and they look very good.

I had my gunsmith buddy do the safety removal on the Stoeger. I guess I could get the kit ya'll posted up, looks like a great idea, thank you!
