The item that’s described as a “Bullet” is a replica of a cartridge!

Unless you have an amazing palate and plenty of cash to flash, under $50 works pretty well for small distillery bourbon.  I used to take my Wife to a very fancy restaurant for our wedding anniversary.  Great experience and recognition of a critically important choice we made.  Very fancy dinner, bottle of wine a bit under a hundred.  Not a lot of difference from $24 except as a symbol.  I'm sure there are folks who can tell the difference. Dad probably could have., he was really into wine.  I have a case of his wines in the basement that have insane prices now.  I doubt they are drinkable, though they have been stored carefully.

So far, Jim Beam Vanilla is my absolute favorite.
I just can't stand the taste of straight bourbon.

JBV is $12 and change at Winco and Walmart.

Agree 100%.

I have been drinking bourbon for years and really can't tell much of a difference between a $30 bottle and a $50 bottle. Some difference, yes, but not enough for the price difference.  Some of my favorites are priced at $27 and $44 per bottle. That said when the price (theoretically presuming quality) approaches $85 to $100 per bottle I do taste a difference. Quite a difference sometimes.

Recently I did have an opportunity to taste a $250 bourbon. The words incredible and amazing don't begin to describe it. I will not be paying that much for bourbon ever unless I win the lotto so that was a treat.

Scotch now... I do taste quite a difference between 12 year old and 18 year old.

Had the same experience with 10 yo Laphroaig vs. 18 yo.  great, but out of practical price range.  They have 2 above that as well!

I don’t drink hardly at all, occasionally a beer or a glass of wine. I just thought this Doc Holiday display case was pretty cool. 🤠

Well, if'n ya want to try some ya can't hardly go wrong with Buffalo Trace, Makers or Elijah Craig. All less than $35/bottle.

If'n don't care for 'em you'll always find a cowboy at a match who would be happy to take them off'n yer hands. 😉

I’ve tried few bourbons, Makers and Bulliet but I’m just not a fan of bourbon or whiskey unless it’s in a mixed drink with Pepsi or Coke or Ginger ale.

This isn't about the whiskey, it's about the packaging.   It's a "collectors item".

It is "Crafted by the World Whiskey Society".  Yeah?  From what?

"World Whiskey Society is a limited release whisky company. Each of our editions features hard to find expertly crafted whiskies from around the world."

That screams blended whiskey.   From what?  From where?  Oh yeah, "around the world".

I don't know why but I'm reminded of the Avon cologne bottles shaped like cars/guns/fish/etc.

You know, I was fine with Beam "everyday" for decades, but I think they did something to it half a dozen years back.  Stopped buying it

Give George Dickel Whisky* a try for "everyday".

* Without the 'e', as it should be.

For around $20 a bottle you can't go wrong with Wild Turkey 101.  It's always highly rated at It's price point. My favorite is Bookers but it's gone up in price. When I first found it it was about $70 at Costco. Now I've occasionally seen it for around $100 but at many liquor stores it's $150+.

My personal favorite if I have to drink bourbon.  And you are soooooo right about the 'e'.

It is probably "number 45 rice whiskey" that has been re-bottled.

That would definitely be  from around the world.

I have vulgar cheap taste buds.  Beam white label is just fine.

If you like JBV, highly recommend trying American Honey (Wild Turkey based bourbon) .   I have tried almost every flavored bourbon but always circle back to American Honey.

And it's a 700ml fill bottle, so you're getting one less shot glass.

I also no longer drink .........but when I did

1. Jameson Black Barrel

2. Jameson Caskmates Stout

3. Ragged Branch (a VA label)

And, recently our daughter was awarded a bottle of Angels Envy, for being the top trainer in her gym's network of facilities. I had never heard of it before then.
