Our dear friends up the road have had heartache bestowed upon them.

Bruce and Gloria befriended us when we bought our property here back in 2000.

Gloria was diagnosed last year with gallbladder cancer and has had a few surgeries. All was looking good and doing maintenance treatments. In the last few weeks, Gloria has been diagnosed with a rare stage 4 cancer and is now only being given 2-6 months before she meets our maker.

Please offer up a Prayer for Gloria and Bruce.

Prayers up my friends🙏.

Thank you Pards,

Eyesa & Ellie

remembered in mine , you are as well ,

this is difficult , i know because when we moved here we were the youngsters , all of our neighbors were original owners/builders of their homes in this neighborhood , we have outlived them all and now we are the oldest here , it was sad loosing those that were so welcoming to us

Lots of prayers for Bruce,Gloria and their family. Prayers coming yours and Ellie’s way. News and loss like this take a toll on all that are affected. Lean on each other and keep each other close. In times like these each other and the Lord is all we have and need to make it through the toughest of times.

it is an odd feeling isnt it ?

just lend a hand and support where possible to your great neighbors , i did that when the one to our west lost his wife and when the one ot our east had a massive stroke , good neighbors are hard to come by ,

My good neighbor to the north where we shoot muzzleloader and drink coffee as well as lie, had a stroke a few years ago. He's 75. Lost 5 others over the past few years. Have 2 more with terminal cancer and lost another to pancreatic cancer. I'm fortunate in that only a few friends/acquaintances from childhood have passed.

It is indeed an odd feeling.

My wife gave me an insulated cup for Xmas; " It's weird being the same age as old people"

My sister was telling me about her similar experiences where she and her husband live now. She is saddened by the situation.
I told her something like; “It’s the circle of life. We cannot change it. All we can do is help and be supportive where we can, but we cannot forget to live our lives and enjoy every day as it comes. We are not meant to live forever, unfortunately.”

You're spot on Pat. It's definitely strange being the old people! 😕

People ask me if I'm afraid of dying.  Nope.  A bit concerned about how I'll die, but dying is just the next step and it's inevitable.....and I'm curious about what's next in this adventure.

I'll see you all on the other side someday.
