I used to see people at some of the larger matches making custom fitted types for  inside the ear canal.

Haven't been to a large match in about nine years, but am getting back into range shooting.  I can't shoot a rifle with the huge, bulky, heavy jobs rhat are being sold.  They hit the butt stock and keep me from getting a fix on the gun.

Are they effective and does anyone still make the custom ones in the Prescott - Prescott Valley Area that you know of?

Thanks..

I bet there will be a vendor at EOT making custom ear plugs. That’s not to far from you. That type ear plugs is what I have worn for many years shooting cowboy and before that rifle silhouette.

Mine work very well!!  Check with the local law enforcement outfits!!  They will likely know someone!!

There has been a lady at the Crossroads of the West PV gun show from SoCal that makes them. Last time I was there was about a year ago and she was becoming discouraged at the turnout so I am not sure if she will be there next time. You might be able to contact Crossroads and check on her attendance at the next show.

I do like mine.

Do you need to wet them to put them in?

I used to see people put them in their mouths then stick them in their ears. Ewwwww!

I have been considering some of those custom earplugs as well. No one around here makes them.
I was thinking about trying these.

This person’s instructions on how he molded his to makes them work make sense.

I use the Deci-bullz self molded ear plugs.  They are around $25 on Amazon and are very easy to mold yourself.  I also have a pair of custom molded ones, I got them at the Tulsa gun show.

Make your own.

Radians Custom about 10 bucks. Silicone Epoxy you mix mold and let it set.

I have a pair for my bike gear and a pair in my range box.

I don't but I see a few that do. I occasionally need to use ear drops for a condition that I have and they do work better if my ears have a bit of lubrication in them.

I have been using the same pair for forty years. They were made for me by Lonnes Wigger at a silhouette shoot in 1984 and still work well

At EOT in NM the last year it was there I bought my set from Hearing Protection Service, LLC - www.HPSSW.com (505) 275-PLUG(7584). They are around $70 and custom fitted at the match and picked up the next day.

I found this set that gives you two different colors, one color for each ear. I think I will buy them.
