I am considering a pair of electronic ear buds for SASS.

I am hard of hearing and need the application to hear stage scenarios while needing hearing protection. Don’t want to mess with Blue Tooth. Does anyone have a recommendation for either AXIL or ISO Tune units?

I supply the ISO tune pros to my employees and they work great for awhile but they are not very durable. I am not aware of an ISO Tune earbud that doesn't utilize bluetooth. I don't know what your budget is, but the 3M Peltor TEP-100s are very nice. But very expensive....to the point that they may not be worth it. A more budget friendly option would be Act Fires. Though I haven't personally used them. A friend of mine uses them and he seems to like them.

Personally I use Safariland Pro Impulses. They are not electronic though. They do have "pass through" that allows me to hear people speaking, but I don't know that would help someone who's hard of hearing.

MidwayUSA has some Walkers on sale for $49, I use Walkers and they are good stuff.

I’ve tried several different kinds of electronic ear buds. I recently got a pair of Otto electronics. Very expensive but very worth it!

I use the Axil X Cores (the cordless earbuds) for shooting (including SASS), as my normal ear buds for phone calls and teleconferencing, and while hunting.

The foam tips ended up not staying on the ear bud when I removed them causing me to use some needle nose pliers to grab the foam tips and pull them out. I ended up gluing the foam tips to the ear buds and haven't had a problem since.

I've used them most days of the week, and carried them daily, for over two years now and they are still working well.

They have bluetooth capabilities, but do not require bluetooth to function, use, or set up.
