Iron Monger Jimmy Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Howdy!! I hate to have to do this but the Missus' medical bills are piling up so I need to generate some filthy lucre.. So I am offering my 5 shot .38 Smith and Wesson Iver Johnson pocket revolver. This little guy has been lovingly used but not abused.. It has a clean bore and excellent crisp rifling. Chambers are not pitted and are clean and smooth as well. I have fired this wheelgun and it works every time..!! Cylinder lock up is nice and tight, still timed..no problems...no end shake either. The nickel finish I put at 95% with some flaking and patina mostly on the left side as shown. 3 1/4" barrel length.. It has ivory grips (pre ban so no problem as the are considered "antique" and contemporary with this revolver) Serial number range has it manufactured in 1926ish. Last patent date is Aug. 1895..This should be the 2nd model of the hammerless .38.. C&R is fine on this due to the age.. This has been in my possession for close to 30 years...Like I said I hate to part ways but a man has to do what a man has to do...I can always get another revolver but a good woman is hard to find... I discovered a gallery load of 000 Buck loaded to the case mouth of 5 grains of 3F is light recoil, and accurate fun - here are the first three rounds of that load I fired out of my Iver Johnson at 5 yards, darn near the exact same revolver. These little "suicide specials" work pretty darn well for the age!
