Sixgun Seamus Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Couldn't watch because I don't do Facebook but I used to teach ropemaking in Boy Scouts. My troop was an expected regular at the annual Scout-O-Rama with our rope making demonstrations. The boys made their own rope making machines. 1 2 Quote
Jack Spade Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I learned rope making in Boy Scouts. Made several ropes that we used on our farm and I think Dad still has them. I still use things I learned in rope making like splicing in an end loop and whipping the ends to stop fraying. 1 Quote
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 My US Navy dad could do marvelous things with rope, like creating loops with seamless splices, all from memory. 2 Quote
