Sixgun Seamus Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 Couldn't watch because I don't do Facebook but I used to teach ropemaking in Boy Scouts. My troop was an expected regular at the annual Scout-O-Rama with our rope making demonstrations. The boys made their own rope making machines.
Jack Spade Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 I learned rope making in Boy Scouts. Made several ropes that we used on our farm and I think Dad still has them. I still use things I learned in rope making like splicing in an end loop and whipping the ends to stop fraying.
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 My US Navy dad could do marvelous things with rope, like creating loops with seamless splices, all from memory.
