sorry - im not a facebook person ,

I tried to separate it but didn't know what I was doing.

It was a hogdon rep at the 2025 shot show saying to check their web site and register for an alert.

They are expecting it in summer or late fall.

I checked their website and when I selected a 9oz container of TB it asked for my email so they could notify me when it arrived.

Some Facebook accounts are public, means you can access without an account.

Try this:-

Click on the "X", top right, that gets you past the login.

I've highlighted the "X" for you.

Then :-

Make sure you click on the little speaker icon because by default it's muted.

I don’t have or use FB, but I can see and hear a video once.
Chris Hodgdon says Trail Boss will be available probably in the summer of 2025.
He says you can go to the Hodgdon website and set up an alert as to when TB is available for sale.

This is a screenshot shot an image of that video on FB. I hope this is okay with SASS HQ.

I've never used TrailBoss. Just because I use other powders.  Mostly WST but also AA5744. AA5744 is not available at all. I was lucky to be able to buy some from a pard locally though.

So I don’t get it, he says the BIGGEST question at the shot show AND before is where can I get trail boss, gee if I made powder for a living and my biggest question was where could I get one certain powder I think I would be making that powder since he claims it’s the one most sought after. Sounds to me like their tired of the question and blowing smoke up the shooters backsides….not that I don’t believe corporate or anything like that

Well you need more powder and it’s more expensive! I’m fine with TiteGroup or HP38 or Clays. If you’re afraid of overcharging then this is the one for you. I’ve never had a problem over charging, ( well okay once about 20 yrs ago) 😂

I don't really understand the Hullabalulu over Trail Boss.  I can shoot any cartridge, any bullet, single recipe, wit 2F and 3F APP.  What's the big deal??  Besides, the stuff (TB) burns dirty.

The dirty and the price were the killers for me! Can't see the extra cost and filth just to avoid a double charge. Pay attention when loading. But then I use a progressive press where a double charge would only be my fault.

I bought TB when still available and reasonably priced.
So I have more than enough for my life time.

TB, Clean Shot, Clays IMR Red, 231 and HS-6 all give me BHN=9 loads in 38SP.
I'm surprised at "dirty" considering how many here shoot black powder... the ultimate in "dirty."

I understand.

Yes, TB is dirty. I never worry about over charging my cases. I do everything in a single stage set up. I do not like the weird soapy smell of Trail Boss after firing off a round. It smells like “burnt soap”.
BUT it is soft shooting compared to loads with Unique and Universal at similar velocities. I can’t explain why. It just has a different pressure pulse or something.
I agree about the cost per ounce. It is more expensive.

Hodgdon claims Trail Boss has one of the lowest profit margins and is the most costly powder to make, so they have been focusing on easier powders with a higher profit margin. While we may not like it, saving the least profitable product to the last makes good business sense.

In fairness to Hogdon they don't make TB.

It's made in Australia (check the bottle it says it there) by ADI who have had issues for a while due to a number of reasons and we have been getting TB since early December.

Always tell your doctor if you have TB, an infection or are pregnant or plan to be. You’re welcome.
