Anyone here happen to have one that they want to part with. Or know where to get one. Only thing I can find online is on Ebay and made in Ukraine and may take a month to get.

We are looking at going into shotshell production and will be working with many different use loads and a variety of powders. I have one of these on my Sizemaster and think it would be the way to go on the 9000E.

Thanks for any info or advice on these or where to find.

There’s one local to me getting ready to come up for auction. I’ve thought about picking up. I already have one. I’m not sure if all the pieces are there. They have it in a lot with a few small pieces, but I get the feeling nobody knows what the charge bar is or is worth.

I just rummaged through my bucket of 'stuff' and seen this.  Is this what you are looking for?  I don't load on a MEC, so no idea if this is complete, but it's never been used and I'll never use it.

Here is a view of all the bits in the package.  Again, not sure if it's complete, but other than a bushing, it appears all there.

@Yul Lose,

If the OP found one,  I'll send this out to you.

The product @Totes Magoats shows is what that company called a Shuttle Bar, as opposed to the Universal Charge Bar. The difference being that in the Universal Charge Bar, both the shot and powder side are dial adjustable, while in the Shuttle Bar, powder is still handled via MEC bushings. Also, being a Model C, that one is designed for MEC single stage presses.

@Cpl. Henry B. Tolate, this charge bar wouldn't work for you if you're using a MEC progressive.

I also own Ballistic Products' version of the Universal Charge Bar. They call it the Adjusta-Drop Charge Bar, and it too is only for single stage presses. If you're in the market for a single stage fully adjustable bar I would absolutely recommend it: Adjusta-Drop Charge Bar (single-stage)

Thanks for the info, I didn't know what press it was for other than being for a MEC.

@Yul Lose  Is this still something you want given the info on what it is?

No, I should have looked at it closer. Sorry about that, thank you for your considerate offer.

Not positive, but I believe that one is for a single stage like a 600jr.

My progressive Grabber has adjustments on both ends and doesn't use bushings.

That version is for the Mec 600jr, Sizemaster and the other non-progressive MEC reloaders. It is the Multi-Scale CS version. The C version doesn't have the rubber inserts to allow use with Steel Shot.

It will not work in the Progressive MEC presses like the Grabber and 9000

The Multi-Scale D / DS is made for the progressive MEC presses. Looks like the one pictured below. For it to work in a progressive press you need to replace the straight factory actuator lever with one that has an offset built into it.  It is the L shaped piece in the picture below.

Good catch. I've never seen one with an adjustment on only one end.

Thanks everyone for your replies. And yes most charge bars out there are for single stage units.
Sedalia Dave’s info is correct. For the 9000 MEC requires the straight actuating arm and bracket that it engages as well as a screw or stud on other end to hook the spring. Also powder is on the left. Shot to the right side of bar.

Howdy Cpl. Henry,

Hope you're doing well.  Yes, the Multi-scale or Universal charge bar is the way to go for 9000E, I have one on mine.  Unfortunately, they are nowhere to be found.  I hope someone here might have one they're not using and be willing to let it go.  Good luck.

Regards,

Crossdraw

I think this is for a single stage MEC press.  I've got a Universal charge bar on my 9000 and it doesn't look like this.  For the 9000, the charge bar has both dial adjustment for the powder and shot. But I could be wrong.

Sent you a PM so we can discuss further.

I used one of the BPI Adjusta-Bar charge bar  for about 1,000 rounds on my Size-master.  It took a bit of fiddling to get it dialed in but It worked really good.  I’ve since upgraded to a 9000 and currently only shoot Cowboy and a little SC’s and have it dialed in using the standard bars. Thought I’d want a Uni-bar for it but given everything else that’s required to run a 9000, I’m gonna stick with the basics.

So I just posted an original, like new Model D (progressive) universal charge bar on the wire…need $150 for it or I’ll just keep it.
