A pretty good storm is coming in.  Something like 4 feet of snow predicted over the next week.  I broke down and bought an Arians.  Looking forward to playing with the new toy tomorrow afternoon!

And skiing this weekend will be epic!

Heated hand grips are the best accessory you'll ever add to it.

May do that in time.  Have to see how it goes.

If you break shear pins, have a bunch of spares.

At least a few!! Using a bolt can be very destructive!

That's what you cal lit when someone is fibbing to you.  "You're snowing me" or "are you trying to snow me".

Been seeing adds lately for the latest really powerful "Electric" snow blowers.  As if you can believe those ads.  I actually have a really nice Snow Blower in the garage.  It has sat for so long, I don't know it it will actually still run.  I do know positively, "I" don't want to go out and run it.  Yuck!!

I have a few on hand.  Hardware store isn't far and I can easily get more if needed.

You don’t want to be needing one when the car is still snowed in.  😆

Good point.  May pick up a couple more this weekend.

It is that white stuff that falls from the sky every once in awhile. I put my snow shovel on top of my car when I left Colorado and headed south until someone stopped me and asked what that thing was. I then knew I could stop and never have to see it again. LOL

If you're not clearing a gravel/ stone area you should generally be ok. Still good to have couple/ few in hand. Stones get mine every now and then.

Hey Doc,

I see you moved up to McCall.
Other than the ferocious amount of snow, McCall has some of the cleanest air in the lower 48.

We used to summer on the lake when I was a kid.. a long time ago.

They hated Californians back then, no doubt hate 'em today.
Change your license plate ASAP.

I bought a snow blower once...or was that a snow globe?

All I know is that it sat on a shelf for a long time.

If you have a dealership sticker from your former state, peel that as well.  Had a conversation about that even with MT plates.

Plates are already changed.  Waiting on the new DL's to arrive in the mail.  We've met a bunch of CA transplants here, including folks from Auburn, and Roseville.  Everyone has been really welcoming.

Small town vibe in the winters, many tourists in the summer.
Not as bad as Tahoe, for sure.

I skiied a whole lot at Brundage when growing up in ID.

I'm heading to Brundage in the morning, after I clear the driveway.

We've already gotten about 4 inches, and I just had to give the blower a try.  That thing rocks!

Pacman, my faithful show eater breathed his last buzzing breath last year. 😪Debated getting another but with the Kubota and atv plow I don’t really have much need for one. Only a bit of shoveling around the porch is necessary. I found videos on line about how to modify it to avoid picking up rocks and busting shear pins.. It worked great!

You can modify it to not pick up stones. Lots of on line videos. Worked well onmine

Thanks.  We have a gravel driveway, but right now it's covered with packed snow, so not really an issue

I don't think I've ever even seen a snow blower for sale.  We get a little snow every once in a while but it's usually gone by lunch time.
