Big Sage, SASS #49891 Life Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I received a notice that 1911a's are again for sale at the CMP. I checked and the only problem I see is the price....$1,100 for a rack grade. Pretty spendy.....I'll pass.

ORNERY OAF Posted January 28 Posted January 28 1100.00 rack grade, will have rust on surfaces and friction areas, crqcked or incomplete grips, will need work to make them serviceable. Their description of the 1100 dollar gun makes me laugh. Keep you junk.

The first one was an Ithaca frame and a Colt slide and the second was a Remington Rand frame with an Ithaca slide. I traded the Colt slide for a Remington Rand slide. So now I have an Ithaca and Remington Rand. Both are very accurate. I have used them in WB matches.

Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I’ve handled a few some friends have acquired. I’m underwhelmed as they’re unpleasant to shoot and (to me) their provenance isn’t worth the price. I love my 1990s govt series 80 Colt.
watab kid Posted January 29 Posted January 29 not gonna pay that for what they have - is it a 1911 or a 1911A! ? im not certain when they use the wrong nomenclature - thats not instilling confidence , they should know better , bottom line is i own what i want already , none cost me that kind of money and none are rack grade stuff , GW , i hope yourfriend gets lucky on this gamble
