I bet they miss both cost and completion dates. 10 years to build seems excessive. Perhaps the others will take less time?

I’d bet that in ten years they ask for six more to keep the count at 18.

Maybe, but more probable is they’ll decide the cost is too high and reduce the number built as was done with the Zumwalt destroyer and B-2 programs, which made the unit cost umpteen bazillion each.
