I watched one of his videos this afternoon. The video ended with his idiot son banging on a fence holding a pistol by the barrel not only abusing the gun but violating every existing safety rule and I’m sure daddy was behind the camera. I lost every bit of respect for him

There has to be more to that, Hickok has always handled guns in a safe manner. Maybe it was some kind of prop gun and it was joke?

I've always disliked the manner in which Hickok 'tosses' some pistol back on the table.

If it’s their gun, who cares what they do with it. Who’s in danger? Themselves? Reminds me of folks watching then complaining about MSNBC or The View when they say they detested it in the first place. It’s their format to do what they will with it. My observation is the only point in complaining openly to the public about a personality you openly expressed a dislike for is to persuade others to adopt that dislike. Hickok45 entertains me.

MSNBC does too but only for the absurdity.

Ain’t near as bad as the way some CAS shooters toss their shotguns and rifles down

I'm big fan of Hickok 45. I could listen to him talk all day. Seems like a really decent guy.

I like his stuff, he does excellent, unbiased reviews...and he can really shoot

Part of his appeal is his sarcasm. "a great pistol for Da Fence"

You would probably hate the clip of his mother-in-law sitting by the gong with a hammer.

It's like MSNBC and CNN not being able to see when Trump is obviously trolling them.

Hickock 45 lives not too far from me.  He’s a dedicated Second Amendment advocate and supporter, a former school teacher, a former SASS member, and an all around nice guy!!

He knows guns and he doesn’t pull punches.

He also keeps to himself around here.  Most locals outside of the gun community have no idea who he is or that he’s a YouTube celebrity.

He has never done an unbiased review EVER.

There are many, many You Tube gun tubers - all have their places.

Paul Harrel did reviews.

James Reeves mostly does reviews.

Garand Thumb reviews in a entertaining way.

Brandon Herrera is an entertainer.

But Hickok?  Simply a paid shill for Buds Guns - his "opinions" are questionable at best and often parroting others.

Hickok often asks, "Is it gong worthy?"

Reverting back to old TV shows - I think Hickok is plenty Gong worthy and should triple gonged and walked off stage by Chuck Barris and the Sandman.

True enough.

But I contend that I am correct at least 31% of the time.  ^_^

I find him entertaining and funny.  I also find that his videos are, in my opinion, the most authentic. No edits, just raw footage of an old guy having fun ringing steel.

Now I do find other channels like Sootch to be infomercials. scripted and at least he will show his outtakes.

I would bet money that if YouTube ended today, he'd be out the next day ringing steel with his old model 29 and chuckling.

SO! That leaves 69% of the time when you’re incorrect or completely mistaken?? 😜🤣

That’s what Schoolmarm says about me!!

Bud’s isn’t the only place that supplies H45 with guns to test and he openly criticizes those that are found less than satisfactory.

I have seen and read other reviews from sources that you’ve mentioned that were far more biased than his.

Again, a matter of opinion!

No...

31% of the time I'm correct.

43% of the time mostly correct.

26% of the I'm correct with some caveats, asterisks and conditions.

14% of the time - I'm incorrect.

8% of the time - I'm completely mistaken.

Hang on - let me check my math here...

Yup - perfect.

By my math; the above percentages mean I'm correct 100% of the time.

And since you cannot have more than 100% - the instances where I'm incorrect don't count.  :D

Regards of all his virtues, I still don't like the manner in which he 'tosses' some pistols on the table.   :)

I enjoy his videos, and admire his shooting skill. Out of all the GunTubers out there, Paul Harrell was my favorite. May he Rest In Peace.

I understand that it is their gun and off camera I don’t care what they do with it. On camera they are showing a million subscribers some very bad and unsafe gun hand handling

I agree. I have seen quite a few of his videos as well. I don’t recall ever seeing an unsafe act or situation.
