Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) You know, some of us are old enough to remember when that was on the radio. KVNU (The Voice of Northern Utah) and KOMA out of Oklahoma (?). Edited January 16 by Forty Rod SASS 3935 2 1 1 Quote
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 OK ALPO! My head is spinning. Clarify the relationship for us. 1 Quote
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I had a frat brother who tried to make a "pedigree chart". He looked really smart in the Ivy League sports jacket his doctor got for him: heavy white canvas with buckles in the back and wrap around sleeves. 2 4 1 Quote
Widder, SASS #59054 Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I've never heard the song. BUT, there are some versus in the Bible about Goliath that references a his brother and then also refers to that same person as his son. Historically, the Philistines were known for incest, as were many back in those days. ..........Widder Quote

Other members of the family were giants. As to incest, sure... there is lots of that in history. Just don't read it into this question. But also do not rule it out, as genetic defects do result from inbreeding (gigantism, 6 fingers and 6 toes). More about this here: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4113151/#:~:text=The biblical giant Goliath has,and familial acromegaly or gigantism. The article sidesteps questions regarding the story of Noah, tries to stay focused on the limited question of inherited genetic defects. Quote
