I'd use Titegroup.  It is pretty similar, available in the market like PP is, and definitely was initially designed as a handgun powder.

I use Perfect Pattern all the time as my main 12 gauge shotgun powder.  Since I can't get Red Dot or Clay Dot.

good luck, GJ

Never heard of it

It's fast burning powder shotgun powder roughly equivalent to Extra-Lite.  I will load my 7/8 oz smokeless shotgun shells with it once I exhaust my supply of Extra-Lite.

Thanks for the link. The only results I get from the search feature is me getting pissed off. I use PP in shotgun.

The search feature on the wire is terrible.  Use another search software and put SASS at the end and you get results that include the wire.

High Gun is another name for Tite Group, same powder.

Hodgdon.com reloading data has Perfect Pattern as Shotgun powder. The data for it is under the shot shell data option.

I bought a bottle a little while back and will be loading shot shells with it shortly.

The Sass Wire search feature on this forum is next to useless. Put Sassnet.com followed by your search topic into Google and it’ll give you links to the Sass Wire related to your search.

I have loaded it only in shotgun loads.

12-Ga 7/8 loads were as good as Reddot or American Select.

20-Ga loads were not consistent.

I could not find data for handgun loads.

i load the same powder in all my loads - shotgun/rifle/revolvers , it keeps things simple here and since im in a very small reloading space i dont store anything extra

@Krazy Kajun don’t you use Perfect Pattern in cartridges?

Hugs!

Scarlett

I use Clays in cartridges and SG loads as I still have an ample supply.  Recently I did a post about Perfect Pattern for SG loads....had a friend just starting out and was helping him develop loading.
