Alpo Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I got up this morning and stepped out the front door. Looking through the path cut in the hedge I saw the grass was white. What was going on?? I looked next door, and the entire lawn was white! Oh no! The world is ending!! I look at my truck. There is white stuff on the hood of my truck!!! So I go over and look at my lawn. It has cold wet white stuff on it. And I didn't stock up on milk and bread!!!!! Me and the dog are doomed!!!!!!!!! 2 4 Quote

Pat Riot Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Nice truck Alpo. I miss having my old truck. Simple to work on and reliable. Wait till the little moisture dots connect and you get… This was the other day…there’s more now. Edited January 12 by Pat Riot 3 Quote

The closest I have to a parka is an M65. So when I go out I put on my Sherpa vest. And then my Marlboro Man sheep coat. I do have a ushanka. I'm not really sure if I like it though. It's been some time now since there's been any hair touching my forehead. And that fur tickles. Keeps my head warm, though. Mittens make it difficult to pull the trigger, so I wear gloves. Just in case. 1 Quote

Alpo Posted January 12 Author Posted January 12 You know how hard it is to find a picture of a one dog sled? There are several pictures of one dog pulling a cart, and they title the pictures that it's a one dog sled but it's got wheels. If it's got wheels instead of runners it is not a sled, it's a cart. And all the pictures I could find of a dog pulling sled was a team. I did find a picture of a two dog sled, but I was about to give up on a one dog when I saw this one. 2 Quote

Me and the dog are doomed!!!!!!!!! our range (TRR) had the same look when we shot on the 11th. With a north wind of about 10 knots, it was an exciting, if not warm, day to play cowboy Quote
Alpo Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 Took the dog out after supper to drain her, couple of days ago. Now before we go out I always check the temperature, to see how much clothes to put on. 48. That's not cold. Not really. So I've got on my ball cap and a jacket, but no heavy coat, no gloves, no watch cap. It ain't THAT cold. Friends and neighbors, when it's been raining all day, so the humidity is about 117%, and it's 48°, and there's a 27 knot north wind blowing - yes it is. It is THAT cold. But I tell myself I can survive this. I am regretting this decision by the time I get to the end of the driveway. Normally for the evening drain we walk about block and a half and turn around and come back, and in that three block round trip she does all she needs to do. We were maybe 20 feet past the border of my yard and the yard next door, and I'm telling her to just squat down and pee, for God's sake, pee so we can go back in the house. She not only wanted the whole three block trip, she wanted to saunter. I like to froze. 1 4 Quote

They are done in about a block, but it's fun to see dogs having such fun. They just love to pull that sled.
