On the 8th day, God and Sam Colt both said "Let all barrels be 7 1/2 inches or longer".

Now if they only did a run in 45 Colt.

And I was thinking 38-40 or 44-40 with Bisley grips.

Ruger's website lists the MSRP for Vaqueros with 5..5" or 4.6' barrels as $1079.

That said, I can buy a stock Stainless Steel .357 Ruger Vaquero with the 5.5" barrel for $780.00

They did in the past and there's a beauty of one over on the Rugerforum.com for sale, if you are looking.

Have you noticed the MSRP is approaching the cost of a Colt by all the copiers.  Matt Dillon never used a Ruger or Uberti.

Matt Dillon got his gun for free from the Prop Department. The Prop Department could buy colt SAA's for a dime-a-dozen at that time. Not the same choices we have to make today. The times they are a changin', gotta keep up.
