Saw the Marine Corps Band with the British Black Watch band in Anaheim in 1977 or 1978.  They were on tour with drill teams and all manner of others.  One amazing and very memorable night.  

 

I found out that the Black Watch never lost a battle except to the Marines.  That was announced when the Watch color guard stopped before the ranking CIVILIAN official, the lady mayor of Anaheim, and draped their colors across the floor at her feet.
