I used to be that good , possibly better. I did all the tig welding for the gun shop I worked at. I used to spend about a half a day every week welding up everyone’s parts. This guy learned at the same place I did . Lassen college, they have a gunsimithng welding degree/certificate. I was told they were the first gunsmithing school to offer it . I would guess all the schools do now . Unfortunately I haven’t touched a Tig welder in 20 years. And welding is a skill that requires practice and repetition. I’ve welded up many single action hammers and triggers , that jig sure would have been nice to have . But that’s the beauty of having a Tig machine, if you mess up you just have to do it again. 
Some of the things they can do with the new micro Tig machines are amazing and with an even smaller heat effected zone . 
There’s many old classics that have been saved by a Tig machine.

I love my Miller Synchrowave 250. Water cooled torch. And with the micro torch, it’s not that hard to do that. About the only thing I do differently is surface grind the excess weld off. It’s easier to take off a tenth of a thousandth than to do it in the mill. 
That fixture is very nice! May have to make one for Ruger three screws. I do a bunch of those.
