WOW.........woke up this morning with a little snow on the ground. Havn't had any moisture since early November....since my elk/deer hunt got snowed out LOL! Won't last tho, it's been too warm, probably be gone by tomorrow.

Santa blessed us with a White Christmas.

We had a white Christmas this morning but it didn’t snow. It was foggy. ;)

Morning on the St. Mary River headed north to Sault St. Marie, MI. The river hasn’t frozen so shipping continues. I’m told they don’t break ice once it gets serious. A pretty morning scene out of my Son’s living room window. This snow will last quite a while and it is refreshed fairly often. Nine wild turkeys feeding in the backyard (no picts, sorry). What is the correct term, bucolic? SDJ will know.

Merry Christmas to all.

Having lived in NY State where we could get a snow that would last and last until it was just dirty looking slush. I’ve found that snow in small doses (1/2”-1”) that melts by noon is more agreeable in my dotage.
It is pretty to look at when fresh and unspoiled by footprints or shovel marks. Then I’m just as happy for it to sublimate off into the morning atmosphere.

We need an old guy emoticon, something with a cane or crutch.

Some years ago I was spending Christmas with my daughter's family in Atlanta. And it started snowing Christmas Eve. Watching that snow come down - oh, that was just so pretty. And it stuck.

Boxing Day my truck would not start. Fuel pump. So I'm out there lying in three inches of snow, underneath a pickup truck, trying to remove the fuel pump.

Y'all can keep that cold wet white stuff. I don't want it.
