I can't decide whether he means to shoot the dog with a BB gun if it tries to piss on the Grinch, or shoot the inflatable Grinch.

We of The Square Circle Wranglers, fought off the GRINCH at our home ranch December 21, using .45s, .38s and shotguns.

We were successful in driving the ornery cuss back again.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to help out, bringing along one of the elves.

Pictures to follow.

Does the fur on those caps tickle your forehead?

I bought one last year, and it is quite warm, but the fur on my forehead is annoying as all get out.

Don't know. I didn't ask Santa or Mrs. Claus.

(I'm the Confederate escapee in the group shot of the defenders. It's a long story. I was imprisoned in Elmira New York and escaped. I thought my compass was pointing me SOUTH, taking me back to my regiment, the 27th Georgia, but it was pointing NORTH)

Santa Claus looks real. Most people dressed up to shoot cowboy don't look real. They look like they're in costume. It's like people dressing up for civil War reenactors. They don't look real. They've got too much stuff.

The way Santa is standing his right arm is hiding his strong side gun. So he looks like he's standing there wearing one gun. He looks like a real person.

Mrs Claus, with the two gun rig and the shotshell belt above it, looks like she's in costume.

You probably had a Chinese compass.

Many years ago I found out that in the Orient they have their compass needles point South. It doesn't really matter, right? Because the needle points in both directions. But a standard Occidental compass has the point of the needle marked that points North. The Oriental compass has the point marked that points South.

So you had a Chinese compass, and it pointed South, but you thought it was a normal compass that was pointing North, so you went the other way.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Mrs. Claus has always been stylish when she visits us at the Square Circle Ranch and Townsite.

We'll forgive her for anything since she shoots Holy Black!

It's the old west, he most likely had a Tate's Compass. Because "He who has a Tate's is lost."

See that was a problem. Tate was not a manufacturer. He was an importer. Brought in all those compasses from China, and they had the wrong side of the needle painted red. So people thought they were going north when they were actually going south. And they got lost.
