so canadian government was conducting secret tests too ? im not sure why we might be surprised at all , they all do iit , we conducted so many illegality authorized  tests  on people that were in service that i cant even cast a stone - our service people were subkjected to radiation and drugs and we cant even describe the others ,

I recall that. My Father was there, with a RCAF film crew, in mufti, with high speed cameras to capture the event.

We ran a pretty sophisticated bio weapons research program, beginning in WWII, out of Kingston, Ontario and Suffield Alberta, for many years.

It was described as "The Poor Man's Nuclear Weapon"

what scares me is there is probably a stockpile of those materials rotting in some bunker long forgotten waiting to become the new catastrophe
