OTJ: I hope we have a lot of vendors, and that they get good publicity, so we know in advance who will be there and what will be available.

I also hope the Cowboys & Cowgirls bring their gold and get plenty the things they need.

A cowboy’s loyalty isn’t spoken, it’s shown.

I will be doing regular updates of Sponsors and Vendors. You should have a good idea of who will be there.

Outlaw Bullets will be there, vending and shooting. This will be the first match for us to be in Florida  sense moving the business to Georgia. Waimea said he would make a guest appearance if they were still stateside in April.

I am interested in the detailed schedule of the side matches and warm-up stages.  I might participate in long range, Wild Bunch and/or the Black Powder Mini Match.  However, if any occur at the same time I will have to choose.  The detailed side match schedule will help me select my side matches and/or warm-up stages.

Looking forward to your match.  My wife said it is time to shoot a match in Florida.  We already have our camping reservations.

Man, I am counting down the days.  Between processing my Mom's estate, and the start of Tax Hell Season, I am in desperate need of some Cowboy Action Smoke Therapy!  Wish I could find a way to get to E.O.T. but that will have to wait another year or two.

How do you handle out of state shooters for your state championship match? I have seen several states do it differently.

Thanks

Yes, I have seen where someone can win it but they can't be the state champ which is fine but I have also seen where they don't even let you score any points. You basically shoot for fun but still have to pay which I don't agree with and some won't even let out of state shooters in.

We follow the SASS Sanctioning rules where only someone who lives in the state can win the state championship for categories and overall. But we also award anyone who shoots the  match with awards and if they win the category, they get an award for winning.

That is the way I think it should be. Otherwise, you miss a lot of shooters that won't come and shoot.

Thanks

I have been shooting Cowby Action since 2003 and in many different states and I have never seen this occur.

I have only seen it once and it was up in Montana at one of their matches. When I called and talked to them they said it was for Montana residents only but I was invited to come and watch. The other one I don't remember which match it was but they said I would only be shooting for fun. Needless to say I didn't attend either one.

Wow, were these State level matches?  In 2023 I shot in a monthly match with the Montana Territory Peacemakers at Billing Montana and they welcomed me with no problem.  I have never encoutered a cowboy match that they excluded participation for non residents and I have shot Cowboy Action in 27 different states but they have not all been state matches but a bunch were or even higher level.

They were either annual or state matches. I do remember that. Also, this was around 5 years ago as well.
