That was definitely different, indeed. The bongo guy definitely did the mysterious bit up to the hilt. That was fun.

Didn't want to hijack the thread so figured I'd wait a bit to post this. Mongolian version of throat singing combined with modern metal-style music - definitely unique, and probably not for everyone's taste.  The group is called UUHAI. First bit of throat singing is at about 33 seconds.

That's not a  highjack.  

 

And, if it's a thread that I've started, Highjack Away! Well, at least have some tenuous relationship to the subject.  Say u started a thread about rope making,  I wouldn't consider something about macrame or hangmen to be a highjack.

Fair enough on the hijacking!  Yuve Yuve Yu is a good one, kind of a rock beat.  I like Wolf Totem myself - more of what I would think traditional, albeit done in less than traditional Mongolian garb!  1:49 for the start of the serious throat singing, and captioning works.
