Dapper Dave Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 That was definitely different, indeed. The bongo guy definitely did the mysterious bit up to the hilt. That was fun. 2 Quote
Count Sandor, SASS #74075 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 (edited) Didn't want to hijack the thread so figured I'd wait a bit to post this. Mongolian version of throat singing combined with modern metal-style music - definitely unique, and probably not for everyone's taste. The group is called UUHAI. First bit of throat singing is at about 33 seconds. Count Edited December 18, 2024 by Count Sandor, SASS #74075 1 2 Quote

Say u started a thread about rope making, I wouldn't consider something about macrame or hangmen to be a highjack. 1 Quote

Count Sandor, SASS #74075 Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Fair enough on the hijacking! Yuve Yuve Yu is a good one, kind of a rock beat. I like Wolf Totem myself - more of what I would think traditional, albeit done in less than traditional Mongolian garb! 1:49 for the start of the serious throat singing, and captioning works.
