After Tom Cruise soured the role for me by being a wimpy excuse for Reacher my son talked me into checking out the series.  Better than Cruise's abomination, but still not worth my time.  I was immediately turned off by the music being inappropriate to anything I can imagine and way too loud, and then the story line just plain stinks.  Three  episodes and I'm done with it.  The guy playing Reacher is closer to the books, but he's just plain "wooden" as an actor.

After hearing about the views of Alan Ritchson in real life I will never watch another episode of Prime’s Reacher.
I will just leave it at that.

Right on! I was never crazy about the series anyway so I won't be missing anything!

Exactly. Typical hollywood American-hating liberal, who is more than vocal about his disdain for at least half of this country.

I will continue to read the book series which are very well done but absolutely no more of the TV crap.

The Puller series is better.

I am not familiar with that one. Is Puller an actor or a different series all together?

I read that Lee Child was torqued at David Baldacci who plagiarized a bit from the Reacher series.
As a consequence, one of the Reacher villains is named "David Baldacci"

After Alan Richson spewed his liberal tripe, I also refuse to support the TV shows.
The books are great.

MOST entertainment is provided by people in a certain geographic location with certain political views. You gonna give up on all tv movies magazines newspapers and most written work?

We realize most entertainers are liberal. We also realize we don't want to hear their BS and if we do, we don't want to see their faces ever again -especially the ones that seemed to have made it their personal mission to insult and degrade at least half of their viewers.

Smart ones keep their mouths shut about their personal politics.

@Dantankerous I will have to humbly disagree.

They are welcome to their opinions and have every right to share them. Same as I do.

I just realize that at the end of the day their opinion is theirs and they get paid to pretend or play.

What's that saying: you should never meet your heros?

As a dear friend once said to me often when I nitpicked the accuracy of movies: revel in the illusion.

Why would I want to pay them any attention after having to listen them hurl insults and other incredibly demeaning and derogatory comments toward those of us who do not share their opinions? If someone talked to me like that face to face, they might get a knuckle sandwich. I have no interest in  continuing to follow somebody who apparently hates me but likes my money.

To add to what my pal @Dantankeroussaid, actors make a living pretending. Most truly are children in adult bodies. If they do a good job entertaining us their actual immaturity can be overlooked, but once they get political and are obviously oblivious it’s time to drop them like hot rocks, in the support sense.

I know most actors and many musicians and bands are very liberal. I do not hold that against them. This is America. We have freedoms. But, when actors and musicians use their art as political manipulation it is time to reevaluate their worth to you.

These people get paid Millions of Dollars to play dress up and make believe, and that's fine. I don't begrudge them any of that.

And yes, they are welcome to their opinions and have every right to share them. However, they don't just share them, they try to tell the rest of us that OUR opinions are wrong, and that we should listen to THEM. That's where I draw the line.

They, nor anybody else have the right to tell me that their opinions are the ones that matter, just because of who they are . Maybe I'm wrong, maybe not. But that's on ME. I know what I think, and I have no problem telling anybody else what that is, but I'll never tell them WHAT to think.

And when somebody that I used to respect does so, (yes I'm referring to Sam Elliot, he made his opinion clear in the 2020 election), I have the right to NOT spend my hard earned money paying them for anything that they do.

Of course I understand that 98% of the entertainment world is hardcorps Leftist. But as long as they don't try to use their celebrity to push their Leftist agenda, I don't care.

Like the Dixie Twits were told, "Shut up and sing".

Sam Elliot also did a voice commercial for Biden in 2020. Him and his wife are big liberals!

They have a right to express their views and I have a right to express mine.  I also have a right to NOT spend a single cent nor a second of my time to support these "artificial people".

I hate to break it to you but Lee Child is a big British Liberal and has voiced his disdain for Trump!  what ya going to read now?

I buy all my books second hand at Goodwill.

No royalties to the author here.

I personally do not understand the reason why somebody is a Liberal today.

I find people are Liberals today for one or more reasons:

• Sex: infidelity, promiscuity, homosexuality, abortion
• Drugs: personal use or family user
• Socialism: Big Government to run our entire lives
• Hive-Mind Hate: Orange Man Bad

Cruise has a "best work"?  I've never seen any indication of it.

"Oblivion" and "Edge of Tomorrow" were both good. But he REALLY kicked butt in "Top Gun Maverick".

I have a wonderfully high tolerance for movies and a great love of them.
Much less so these days for woke actors.

We tune into Prime for schlock.
They carry all the old 1950s and 60s shclock sci-fi stuff.

The rubber monster suits and cheesy high school effects are very amusing.

My wife's all time hater is "Forbidden World"... a low budget flick with boobs and a barfing monster.

The owner of the boobs screeches like a barn owl.
No matter.. it is difficult to be 21 years old and ugly... if so, one REALLY has to work at it.

I found it on Blu-Ray in the sale bin, and played it as a surprise one night.

Buttery home made popcorn makes even the worst movie very enjoyable.
