Rattlesnake Slim
Thanks Turquoise Bill. Our volunteers are the greatest. Today was the best turnout of the year, and we got tons of work done. And thanks to Captain Dan Blodgett for the fantastic coffee, donuts, and hot lunch. Next work party is Saturday January 4th.

Sixgun Seamus
I'm sure Shirttail Bess will want copies of her picture to hand out to friends. It's good to see familiar faces. Thanks for the photos and updates. Wish we could be there to help. See ya in February. Rattlesnake Slim
That's Roscoe Clyde, under the supervision of Cactus Wen (prior picture). They're replacing the wood floor of one of our flat bed trailers.
Rattlesnake Slim
Pictures also show Legendary Lawman and Marshal Kane painting, Rustler guarding the ice chest, Fox McGlue and Sly Puppy painting the new horses, Reverend Leadslinga' and Renegade Roper painting cargo box trim. Then there's Marshal W Hill, Joe McGlue, and Buckshot Sheridan assembling the new cargo boxes, some bum named Rattlesnake Slim walking around looking important, and the cargo box crew again. We have the best, most giving volunteers I've ever met, and they do it all in the hope that you get here some day to enjoy it. And Sixgun, we have plenty saved up for you when you get here! Rattlesnake Slim
It was an absolutely beautiful day for a work party, and close to 25 of our closest friends came out to give of their time. Some have been working since the first work party in November, others filter in with the great southern migration. Many thanks to Legendary Lawman for taking the pictures, they are much better than I usually do. Last year's Mining Office becomes this year's Wells Fargo Pony Express Office with a coat of fresh paint. Turquoise Bill, Rustler, Roscoe Clyde, Marshal Kane, and Marshal W Hill laying it on. Sly Puppy, Serenity, Mrs. McGlue, and Marshal W Hill apply the trim color. Renegade Roper painting one of the new stage boxes to match the stage. Range Master Buckshot Sheridan touching up the detail work on the River Boat. We use about 25 stage boxes as shooting positions. This year we replaced six, that means that the other 18 have to be inspected and repaired. Joe McGlue leads the crew. Joe McGlue in the straw hat, assisted by St Helena Slinger, Turquoise Bill, Rustler, Roscoe Clyde, and Marshal Kane. Ok, for those of you who asked for a picture of Kid Rich working, here it is. Yes, that is a paint brush in his hand, and he is under the close supervision of Shirttail Bess. They are going to make that River Boat look incredible when they are done. The real reason our volunteers keep coming back has nothing to do with helping me out. It's Captain Dan Blodgett's good cookin'. Today was a delicious pozole (some of you northerners may have to look that one up). During setup and the match he will cook for 50-60 people every day! The line looks like this every lunchtime. Most will come back for seconds, I know I did. We can't wait for you to see all of this in person the end of February. 45 days to go!!!!!!! 4

Lots of painting and refurbishing, Swiss Kid leading the way on the River Boat. Kid Rich and Scholar Kid discussing the paddle wheel! Shirt Tail Bess painting the paddle wheel for the river boat Renegade Roper painting the new cargo boxes Bonnie painting the new cargo boxes Marshal Kane with his brush. Randy Saint Eagle, SASS # 64903
I missed EOT last year and will miss it again this year but I still want to say "Thank You!" to everyone involved in putting on the match! It's amazing how much work goes into preparation, set up and tear down for this match. If you've never been it's hard to understand what it takes. Hopefully I'll make it back someday. Thanks again for all the hard work!! Randy
