I wonder if it shoots low and left too?

I like the looks of that grip.
The grip / frame is Magpul. I’ll bet it takes Glock mags, even though Ruger doesn’t say that.
It’s a Glock 19 Glone ( Glock Clone- my terminology) ;)

It looks like they took a page from Sig Sauer too. The fire control housing has the serial number so you can swap grip frames.

I would like to try one out.

I guess if I would have read further I might have seen this:

I think I am going to buy one of these.

The grip is slightly angled less than the G19 and has no hump or finger grooves.
I have a G19 sized Polymer 80 Glone that I assembled and I like shooting it. I do not care for the G19 as the hump interferes with my grip and aim. The finger grooves do not match my hands at all.

I've seen them advertised for $399 some where, maybe buds?

There are several advertising a sales price of $399. For what you get that’s a great price…provided it’s as reliable as a Glock. I’m hopping there are no weird growing pains with this gun; I.e. customer beta testing.

Here's one for all the folks that buy a Glock, then when they're done swapping out all the factory parts for aftermarket parts there's nothing "Glock" left.

Ruger did it for you for $400.

Yeah, I never understood the drive to take a nicely engineered pistol and swap out all the parts to make it “better”. Same goes for 1911 and AR fanboys.

I finally got to handle a Ruger RXM today at a gun show. I pretty much like everything except the slide release could be a tad longer. I definitely want one now.

I also like the gray grip frame.

Not even close.

Wrong grip angle and a trigger made out of sponge cake.

Best thing about Glocks is that their magazines are cheap - so I can stock up and use them in this.

Interesting pistol. Someone found a way to make the 1911 better…finally.
I guess you didn’t notice the :P

I have one on order - I'm a 1911 guy

(admittedly, this will be my first double stack 9mm 1911),

I'll let you know in six months (yeah, six month lead time for custom work) if it's better.

I hope it's everything I think it might be.

Same here.  I look at all the so-called "new" guns and have only one thing to say: ho hum!

Yes, boring. Boringly reliable & boringly accurate.

I'll be the first to admit that Glocks are fine pistols. Probably 2/3rds of the nation's Police Forces use them. I don't like them. I still carry my 1911 or my Ruger NMV for EDC.

I'm not a cop, and I never played one on TV. I'm just an old Marine who wants to be able to cover my butt, I don't need to take out the entire gang, just get clear.

Glocks are very good guns.

Well made and very well marketed.

Simple, reliable and (if desired) easy to upgrade (or at least make changes to).

But I have too many years of carrying and training with other platforms and muscle memory is a real thing - I can shoot a Glock perfectly well, but I have to think about it when I draw and do magazine changes.

What I fail to understand is the popularity of Glock clone knockoffs; the above mentioned Ruger as well, that do nothing better than the Glock.

I can understand debating Vaquero vs. a Colt SAA for strength and reliability.

I can understand debating Taurus vs. a Smith & Wesson for the difference in price.

But a Glock vs. a knockoff (Ruger, PSA, etc.) for a $200 difference?

I don't get it.

I know of a guy , that has replaced most every part , if not every part on a G17

figure he has over $1800 in it , by his own admission willing to bet , I could build another out of the extra parts He has on hand

BUT , it is his $$$ to do with what he wants , I do NOT see it ,

Except for the Ruger I agree with every word.  I have two carry pistols depending on the weather and some other factors: a 1947 vintage Colt .38 Detective Special and a Colt .380 Government Model.  All of the guns have been tuned by David Fink, the Gunsight Academy armorer and are as good as any out there.  The two semi-autos have a few new parts and both have low profile, two color tritium lighted, sights, and sport walnut "double diamond grips.  The "Dick Special" has a Tyler "T Grip" attachment and is otherwise stock, and all of my guns are loaded with Hornady Critical Defense ammo.

I have no rails, cut-outs, fancy shaped grips, fish scale surfaces, lights, optics, or any other bulky, attention-taking, over priced, "gee whiz" gadgetry.

I don't feel the least bit  under-gunned for ANY foreseeable situation and while the "Dick Special' was a gift, none of my guns has been even remotely expensive.  Probably under $800.00 total in the 1911 and  less than $600.00in the .380.
have abou $650 in leather for the three together.

I'm not criticizing any one for what they want to carry (no matter how foolish and over accessorized I think it is).  I choose to spend my money on ammo, shooting accessories, and other necessities....like ranfe fees and memberships.

Because to some people that $200 is an evening’s worth of tips.

I ain't one of "those people."  $200.00 is a weeks worth of groceries and a few other niceties.

And I don't know many rich people who got that way by spending money on every "new" toy that comes along.  I got to be "less-than-wealthy" the old fashioned way.  Job hopping, buying things for my family, and seeing places most folks don't even know exist.

Agree.

And when I do the "close your eyes and point at it" drill with a Glock the POI would be 8-12" high... and that's just across the room.

IOW the grip angle is wrong for me so I have to think about it to get it to hit where I want it to.

I used to be a dyed in the will 1911 guy. I wouldn’t even look at a Glock or any other pistol, for that matter. I learned to use and carried 1911s in the Navy.
When I moved to NC in ‘05 I was invited to an IDPA match. My daughter had my last 1911, a Colt 1991A1, in California. I had revolvers, but the guy that invited me let me use one of his Glock 17s. To be polite to my new friend I accepted.
For me the Glock pointed naturally and I was hitting my targets dead center all day long. By the end of the match I was planning on buying one.
A week later I owned a Glock 34.
When I went back to CA for the final final move to NC I did and experiment.
I cleaned the 1911 and the Glock to do a test. I went to a range and fired .45 in the Colt and 9mm in the Glock using range ammo.
At 100 rounds I would field strip and lube then reassemble with no cleaning. At 262 rounds the 1911 jammed. I cleared the jam and continued firing. It stovepiped again at 267 rounds and jammed at each round after. Test over for the Colt.
I had 500 rounds through the Glock with no malfunctions. I field stripped then lubed the gun and left the range. A couple days later I returned and fired another 465 rounds and got my first malfunction. A stovepipe at round 965. I continued firing then at 980 the Glock was done. The slide wouldn’t go into battery as it was too gunned up.
I cleaned both guns and gave the Colt to my daughter. I haven’t owned a 1911 since.
i don’t dislike them. I just don’t want one.
I have owned Glocks and 1 clone since. I built a Polymer 80 using Brownells components in 2020 in Califilornia just to be a scofflaw. It wasn’t illegal…yet.
That Glone, as I call it has only had a couple of malfunctions during break in. It’s been 100% for over 500 rounds. I won’t carry it as it has no serial number. It’s a range toy.
I’ll buy a Ruger RXM. I have seen comments in other forums where people have fired 1000 rounds with no defects or malfunctions. Not sure go they cleaned and lubed during those range outings.

My preferred weapon for defense is a revolver, unless I think I need more capacity. The RXM will probably become my primary carry. It’s more compact than my full sized Glocks.

Last weekend I bought a Ruger RXM as a birthday present to myself.
image.thumb.jpeg.92de1c043c5fd2d6fa8341a206d59f3d.jpeg

Today, Thursday, I finally got to the outdoor range that I belong to and shot it. It was breezy which made it cold, but it was still a fun couple of hours.
image.thumb.jpeg.93e9a34f3da4660bec2b039e5aa8bbb2.jpeg

I fired 150 rounds of my hand loads. 75 - 115 grain rounds and 75 - 147 grain rounds. Both loads hit their targets at 10 yards. Though the cold breeze and pain in my lower back and hip and leg made accuracy difficult I still enjoyed it. All rounds stayed in a small dinner plate sized circle.
The RXM handles very nicely. After owning a Glock 19 and shooting others, including Gen 5s I feel the RXM is superior, in my opinion. The grip fits me well. No hump. The right amount of texture. I never had to adjust the grip of my right hand. I shot it both 2 handed and 1 handed. I obviously haven’t been shooting my pistols in a while and it showed, but I actually shot better 1 handed.
I also shot 4 or 5 mags in my Polymer 80 G19 clone. And I shot my two G34s as well.

image.thumb.jpeg.71755cd108a7f2ae42970d265f8f8edf.jpeg

All in all I am very happy with my RXM. Not a single failure or issue. I can say the same thing for my full sized Glocks. Never an issue.  I did kick myself a bit. I took off from the house and left my Glock 45 behind. That’s a good excuse to hit the range again soon. ;)

Side note: Something I find very strange. The grip frame appears to be light gray in some photos and dark in others with my iPhone. . The natural look of it almost looks like this:

I am hoping that at some point Magpul makes a G17 sized grip frame. I would definitely jump on that. I might even buy another RXM.

Who am I kidding? I’ll probably buy another one anyway.
