The author touts all its health benefits and here I've been burning it for years to grill all sorts of red meat and other foods some people say are bad for me! 🤪

Mesquits tap root only grows about 50 feet. As a result a stand of mesquite is also an indicator of accessible water. A dug or driven well is possible there.

 

Just watch out for the thorns full of creosote and really sting
