These are just two of my barrels for my Bond Derringer. .44 Special and 44-40 Sorry Rooster, don’t want to turn loose of these but they are definitely out there. 1 Quote
Sgt Duncan Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 (edited) Bucksnortoutfitters has 3” Bond .44 Special barrels in stock for $140 if you already have the derringer. You could by the barrel now and keep watching the wire here for a Bond to come up Edited December 6, 2024 by Sgt Duncan 1 1 Quote
Three Foot Johnson Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Several .44 spl Bond barrels on Gunbroker in the $130 range. I've got barrels for mine in .22, .357, .44 spl, .44-40, .45 acp, and .45 Colt. 3 Quote
Rev Willy Dunkum, SASS # 61027 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Ive got an American Derringer in 44 mag, SS engraved grips and metal, a real purdy hunk of steel. As for shooting, too much of a handful for the 44 mag so started with a mid range load of 44 special. The 44 Russian is much more fun to shoot. BP was a hoot. Its definitely a two handed situation to shoot as the action is very heavy. 1 Quote

His suggestion for a training session was to leave the pistol in the safe, find a good, solid workbench about waist high, raise your shooting hand high above your head and with as much speed and strength as you can muster, slam your hand palm first onto the table. Repeat that as often as you would normally shoot the pistol while training with it 1 4 Quote

I looked on EBay and was blown away by how high the prices are now! Last time I looked they were only about $110 - $150! Now they are starting at $150! Quote

Okaw SASS#30137 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 IMHO Buy the AD, have a reduced power spring installed and shoot .45 Schofields in it. That's the setup I have. $175 for the AD is a Heck of a Deal! 2 Quote
