Even here in WV I am surprised at the speed I receive some orders. I love Amazon, for the most part.

I'm about four miles from a Amazon "hub" over on the east side of town.  I have had deliveries in six hours, usually more like 20.

The one thing I do appreciate when items are delayed is I get a text and an email about the delay. They keep you uprised of your purchase and delivery.
I hate when I order something from another company and there is no notification of delay or updates as to when you can expect your order.

I do. I save a lot of money on shipping.

I have prime as well. Most shipping is 2-4 days. Every once in a while, there's a 4-6 week something! Couple years ago we got there credit card. They gave us $200 for getting the card and IIRC, 5% on most purchases. If we use the card for something expensive, our next Amazon order will be nill to free! The interest rate is absurd, so definitely must pay it every month. Which we do anyway.

My son does too. He orders a lot from Amazon, the free shipping pays for the Prime!

We also use Prime Video. It’s also a very good service.
They have a Prime Music app that I tried out. I prefer Apple Music as I can download the music and maintain a library in “the cloud”. I don’t think I could that with Amazon.

I like Prime. I do try to wait on non-urgent items until there is something I actually need sooner. I also do not order from Amazon if a local seller has it and lets me look and touch and learn about the item, I buy from the local source and pay for the knowledge. Just did that for a sling (one store) and proper quick-release hardware (from another local store). If we do not recognize added value, we will no longer have it.

But that is not what brought me to this post, which is actually an unrelated but shareable item. Amazon opened a distribution center nearby and many deliveries are now direct from this center. They use white delivery vans. Graphics for them are delayed so they are unmarked at this time.

On the book of faces and other neighborhood-related sites, there have been more and more reports of a white van cruising the neighborhood very slowly looking like it is casing houses. And some people notice the vn returning multiple times, often more than once in a single day. While one should never let down their guard, these seem to be unmarked Amazon vans making deliveries. The drivers are wearing Amazon shirts.

I have asked Amazon to expedite marking their vans; the person I spoke with was completely unaware the plain vans were raising suspicion.

I think it is just a matter of time before Amazon offers 3rd-party package delivery services.

Anytime I ordered from Amazon I requested the delivery be at the back door. It’s always delivered at the back doorstep! Amazon is great!

Yep I can even have it delivered to their door. That way I don't spend more on postage than the gift costs.
