And somebody left a delivery by their front door, would you go get it and take it in your house until they got home?

Or would you think that it's not any of your business, and just ignore it?

We have long-time friendly relationship with the two next-door neighbors about mail, newspapers, etc. Particularly with one, we bring in their mail and papers and vice-versa on trips. We'd do the same with packages though it hasn't come up, I think.

Most of our kids live in the neighborhood and they handle it, too.

I would for two of my neighbors, the ones on either side of me, that I have a good relationship with. The rest of them can kiss my forget about it.

I likely wouldn’t unless they asked me to. I’m not worried about theft out here where I live but weather can come up pretty quickly. I have asked my neighbors to grab packages for me.

The three neighbors across the street and I look out for each other and pick up mail, packages, etc it they aren't there.

The one next to me on the south is never home.  I haven't seen him in almost a year.  His daughter is living there and I seldom see her.  The guy on the north is a hermit.  He goes walking everyday and I see him once in  awhile around towns .  The last two are quiet and anti- social so we don't interact much.

i have multiple LEOs that live next to me and around me , as well as some real nice folks that keep to themselves , if we had not had so much trouble with the driveby grabbers in the past id not worry on the packages sitting out a day or so but , its way to  easy for the theifs to drive thru and grab ,

they would be disapointed in what they got from my house as my wife orders all the dogs vitamins and poop bags on line - thats whats been coming lately ,

My only neighbor is my mother-in-law, and she is a saint, so absolutely.

A couple of my neighbors actually tell me if they’re going out of town and for how long and I do the same. We pick up packages until they get home.

I would bring into my house until they return. We often do this along our rural road.

My neighbor of 32 years and I have this explicit understanding.
We do notify each other when we are away.

Just had something similar to this happen this week. A big box with a scooter in it was delivered to our neighbors house and I knew they were gone for the day. I texted them to know it was on their front porch for 2 reasons, 1) they normally never go in the front door, use the garage and 2) I figured it was the boys Christmas present and didn't want him to stumble upon it. I texted them to see if they wanted me to go get it and put it in my garage for now but they said no, that they would make sure he went through the garage and they would take care of it. I was working in my garage with the door up so I could at least keep an eye on it so no one walked off with it.
