In case you are a car enthusiast and have not seen the new Jaguar ad here is a parody of the ad that shows some of the actual ad.  No cars in the ad just weird people.  Looks like the new CEO of Jaguar just sank the company.

I don't know why anyone buys one of those POS's anyway.

If I wanted a vehicle that is notorious for electrical problems, I'd buy on old Triumph or a Jeep.

Agree.

Like Volvo's, they have two conditions... brand new and broke down.

Number one question at the track: “Where’s your Jag?”

Number one answer to this question: “In the shop!”

Historically companies that try this style of advertising have been sinking for a good, long while and "going woke" is little more than a cynical Hail Mary attempt to find new customers

Bud Light was not sinking.  Just dumb leftist senior employees.  Kinda like the senior vice president of Disney that claimed her two kids were gay and trans and that all Disney product would have some "queer" in it.  Unfortunately it is not just sinking companies.  Walmart tried it and they are not sinking.  They just canned their DEI division.

This is the part that really grinds my gears.  When a company has a product that stops selling (be it razors, beer, cars or whatever) and they don't ask themselves WHY it stopped selling and work to make a better product that people will want to buy again but instead decide to toss their previous customers to the side and market to "the woke crowd"(sic) it shows me that they never really cared about their customers, and only saw them as a revenue source to be drained dry and discarded

i think someone there is making a statement funded by the company - not sure why the company ever approved such a statement but it happened just the same , i would think the "company" would want to sell their products but alas it seems some dont , bud lght adjusted their thinking - so have may other major corps recently , im not sure if its the election or a new trebnd back to basics - we shall see , i do think the public is fed up with the force feeding of stuff we dont want to swallow , we have kept our mouths shut a long time

none of us want to persecute nor shun those with different ideas - more like live and let live , but please dont stuff your stuff in our face it does not endear you nor dose it win us over , we are tolerant , but do not accept this as a norm - it is not what we want our kids taught nor  what we want to watch on  our holiday TV events . we want our parades to be dree of protests and we want to enjoy our time off at holidays , stuff your social rights up your arse , or share it at your own family gettogethers' , leave us out of it , and if the media thinks they ae being deprived they need to look at their own agenda careful  they might find themselves irrelevant VERY SOON

fixed a couple typos

Way back, when Jaguar WAS Jaguar, we knew two brothers who were doctors. They both had Jaguars. One was an XKE which was my favorite Jag. The other was a XJ6 which was nice also. The XKE was frequently in a local shop for tuning. But what a beautiful car.

As is typical with Bud Light, Disney and others, the Director of Jaguar defended the ad by attacking those who do not like it as being intolerant.

In a recent interview with the Financial TimesJaguar Land Rover managing director Rawdon Glover defended the brand relaunch and denied the ad was meant to send a “woke” message.

While Glover praised the attention around the campaign as “very positive,” he said he was disappointed by the “level of vile hatred and intolerance” shown by social media commentators towards the models in the video.

He claimed the ad’s message had been lost “in a blaze of intolerance.”

I'll never buy any car manufactured across the POND east of New York. Other than VW, parts are impossible to get and cost a lot more than they should.

I was looking to buy a fun-to-drive medium SUV. The F-Pace I test drove was that.

When I heard they were dumping all internal combustion engine production for electrics, I realized they were corporately insane, and crossed them off my list. Just a matter of time before they either did something epic stupid, or just end support for prior-bought ICE vehicles. "Because".

Wound up with a something quite fun, and made here.

And then I saw the abomination that Jag now plans to push. What I now dub the Gay-Type. It's something you expect to be driven by the Pink Panther's less successful idiot cousin.

Damned right I'm intolerant!

I don't put up with idiots, communists, racists, elitists.,the "I know better than you do" crowd, most politicians, and people who are too stupid or lazy to find out the truth because the talking heads on TV do their thinking for them.

Very rich people who want to take over the whole planet... and screaming idiots who think they are smarter than anyone else with no evidence that that is so.

Quite often they are the same people, and way too often they have been elected to some government office, from President clear down to HOA and Neighborhood Watch people.

Follow the money and you'll find them.
