Watching the post-game "festivities" on the field.  The NFL should take note of all the players involved and declare them all intelligible to play in the NFL.

They won't if they think that they will make money off of them.

I don’t watch college football but I hear it all started when a Michigan player planted their flag on the field after they won. Sounds like a bunch of spoiled kids on both sides!

Which apparently is a traditional thing when Michigan wins in Ohio,  planting their banner in the center of that big bullseye on the field.

Stupid,  but it's the kind of Stupid that college kids do. Sort of like the stuff around The Stanford Axe that goes to the winner of The Game between Cal and Stanford every year.

It human nature....... PROTECT YOUR TURF.  (your house, your car, your pride, etc......).

Heck, even your girlfriend needs protecting sometimes.

My thoughts:  Adding insult to injury on Michigans part.  But eh, its what they think they are suppose to do.

And then, I don't blame the Ohio St player for grabbing the banner, etc.....

It is sad when players try their best to have good competition and during the finality of it.......... they get an eye full of Pepper Spray.

Some mom and dad will probably get a lawyer over that and some officer will be probably be reprimanded of excessive usage

of spray.   Ain't saying I agree....... I'm just saying that it could possibly happen.

EDIT:  this can make great breakfast/lunch table conversation during this next week!

I'm reminded of an old U of Miami axiom which went something like " If you don't want my players doing a post touchdown dance in your end zone, don't let them get in the end zone".

Same for yesterday. If you don't want UofM players planting a post game flag on your astro turf, then play better in the prior 60 min. to prevent it.

The losing team is supposed to leave the field right away according to some friends of mine that follow college ball. They’re all blaming the OSU coach for not getting his team off the field. Planting a flag when you win is apparently a thing. Baker Mayfield did it to Ohio State when Oklahoma won. People booed but there was no brawl!

One thing you need to understand about OSU-MSU rivalry: it's older than anybody here, it's fierce, and fights start over it all the time. At least as as back as the 1970s, win or lose, the game has caused riots and fights nearly every year. People in Columbus HATE anybody and anything from Michigan, and the same is true from the other side.

I'm from Columbus and had OSU football rammed down my throat from childhood, and I don't understand it. But there it is.

Yea I get it, I’m up in NE Ohio and there’s tons of Ohio State fans up here that hate everything Michigan ad nauseam! The rivalry started in 1897 btw

Hey Rye,

it ain't just 'Buckeyes' that hate the Wolverines.   Most of the places down south hate them also.

Down here, there's an old saying...... "If the Russians are playing Michigan, we'll root for the Russians".    :)

I guess it’s not ALL of Ohio that hates Michigan…

I was in grad school some 50+ years ago. The teaching assistant next to me was known to have two girlfriends, the girl back home we called Cleveland because he was from Ohio, the local one we called Amherst because we were inAmherst, MA.  Fast forward many, many years and I Googled him as I did many other people I knew. He is now Professor Emeritus at Michigan, with many awards for teaching excellence. I don’t know whether he eventually married, Cleveland, Amherst, or Ann Arbor.

I don’t hate Michigan at all. I’ve been to the Michigan State shoot a few times there’s a club I go to in North western Ohio that gets a lot of Michigan shooters. They’re all great people and I consider them my friends. That college football rivalry is kinda childish if ya ask me!🙄

Thank You Rye. I never understood it either. We finally agree on something related to sports.:P Here in Arizona there is the same kind of rivalry, though not as intense, between the University of Arizona and Arizona State University. I don't get that one either.

Tell that to the folks at Auburn and Alabama or Texas and Oklahoma or a dozen or so other such rivalries.

The fact that such rivalries exist doesn't mean that they make sense. Again, why DO these things exist?

To get money from alumni.

There has to be WAY more to it than that. When I was a kid growing up in Columbus, there were people who had no connection with the school who absolutely DRIPPED hatred for anything Michigan.
