This is not meant to be political but watching the president-elect’s cabinet nominees I wonder if the Founding Fathers intended for this many positions in a president’s cabinet! Geeez there’s a ton of them.

Please don’t make this political! I’m just questioning the amount of positions. I doubt the Founders had anywhere this number!🙄

When George Washington was inaugurated the U.S. had fewer than 4 million people.  There was bascially no techology as the industrial revolution had not begun.  He had four on his cabinent.  State, Tresury, War and Attorney General.  Things have changed a bit since then.

Just a little. All these positions have secretary positions as well.

The article I posted says  it’s 16

Every other thing I read says 15

I guess technically you could include VP which would be 16 🙄

The Cabinet includes the Vice President and the heads of 15 executive departments — the Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury, and Veterans Affairs, as well as the Attorney General.

Well if DOGE does their job correctly there shouldn't be a requirement for that many cabinet positions in the future.

It's funny how the media still can't stop themselves from reporting things like describing each current nominee as a "loyalist". As if the other sides nominees 4 years ago weren't loyalists too. They are just incapable of reporting without obvious bias.

Right?? Do they think a POTUS nominates people that don’t like him?🙄
