New Hampshire: Gun reforms

It looks to me like the legislature is exercising due care and caution in making any new restrictions to the Second Amendment and to rights of the citizens of New Hampshire!!

GOD ON THEM!!

Just read the bill. While reporting claimed it was about entering records into NICS (which it included), the bulk of the bill outlined actual firearms confiscation under numerous scenarios. Also a minimum period of two years between attempts to appeal a confiscation.

Did not analyze the full bill, just noted it was far more than simply NICS updates.

Perhaps the next session will be more circumspect in examining any new iterations of this bill.  It  was smart enough to vote the most recent version out in the last session, obviously recognizing the flaws that John Kloehr identified.

Hopefully, the new, more “Republican” legislature will be even more thorough, passing useful legislation that treats the mental illness issues and the criminal issues instead of vilifying law abiding gun owners and penalizing freedom loving citizens.
