I posted a couple of pictures the other day from a comic strip where a girl got her leg amputated.

Now she's in the hospital and everything that's on television has somebody getting a limb whacked off.

I recognize the second and the third one - Monty Python holy Grail and the second Star wars (Empire strikes back?).

But what are the first and the fourth movie. He says they're all real movies. So someone should recognize them.

The first one - with her speaking to Bruce, and the comment "who's laughing now", I'm thinking it might be one of the Die Hards? But the first one is the only one I have seen multiple times, and I don't remember anybody getting delimbed.

Don't know about movie #1, but movie #4 is a movie called Grindhouse which was really two movies in one, Planet Terror and Death Proof. Planet Terror is the one with the female amputee that has a machine gun as a prosthesis.

@Alpo,

The trick on this one is to catch the expression the off screen voice is saying. In this case "Who's laughing now".

Type this in your search engine with a tag referencing "movie quote".

Evil Dead. Not necessarily evil dead II, but the franchise. The guy has a chainsaw instead of a right hand, carries a double barrel shotgun, and goes back in time?

I remember seeing a video clip with that, so wondered if it was the same people?

sorry Uncle Alpo, .....you lost me at  " He says they're all real movies" ...............

🙃

Yeah I thought that might be confusing after I said it.

See down there in the bottom right, where it says copyright 2024 Dave Barrak?

That's the "he". Dave. The cartoonist. In his comments he said that those were all screenshots from actual movies that he drew over to put in the comic.

So while SHE - Peggy the character- is lying in the hospital bed, HE - Dave the cartoonist - made comments.

I kinda have trouble with real and movies being in the same sentence .......  🤔

Let me see if I can help you.

DIE HARD. That's a real movie. A movie that really exists.

The movie Hobbs wants to watch - ATTACK OF THE COED CANNIBALS - is not a real movie. There is no movie called attack of the coed cannibals. It does not really exist.

A slippery slope, what makes a movie real?  I agree with you but today's young fans don't.  Those fans often create a short of whatever "fake" video was referenced.   Sometimes they are the most basic possible, other times they are advanced, almost pixar quality.  Example below is left as a screenshot rather than embedded video due to language.
