Ocoee Rangers-Cleveland TN

Recommended Posts

I try to shoot there every month but sometimes cooler or cold weather keeps me from the 1.5 hour trip (3 hrs round trip).

BUT, I must say that the Ocoee Rangers are one of my favorite places to shoot.  Great stages, bermed, LEVEL, and covered

to help keep ya dry.    AND.... the competition is as good as it gets with some of the funnest folks around.

As for the above posters, Jackalope is probably one of the best BP cartridge Gunfighters in SASS.   Great Pard.

As for Capt BB.... well, he's a blast to compete with and a great fellow to whoop up on........ problem is, its hard to

whoop him..... :)

Depending upon the weather outlook for this Saturday,  fellow GF and traveling Pard, Slater, we hope to be there

on Saturday.

Do you have to be a member of the Cleveland hunting & pistol club to shoot a SASS match with the Rangers?

I noticed that the shooting club isn’t accepting new members.

No..... you do not need to be a member of that club.

Come join us on Saturday.   Weather is looking a little on the cool side early in the morning but tolerable..... and warming up

a tad as the morning goes by.

When ya get there, introduce Yeself to Ocoee Red.    He's one fine Cowboy.

In that area of Tennessee, you have :

1.  the Ocoee Rangers in Cleveland, TN

2. the Marauders in Ringgold, GA. (about a 15-20 minute drive from Cleveland.

3. Wartrace Regulators (about a 2 hr drive up I-24 from Cleveland.

4. Oak Ridge Outlaws..... about a 1 hour drive from Cleveland.

The Wartrace Regulators shoot the 1st Sat.  Plus other Saturdays for Wild Bunch and Semi-auto/revolver type competition.

Oak Ridge Outlaws shoot the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Marauders shoot the 3rd Saturdays

Ocoee Rangers shoot the 4th Saturday.

Lots of shooting possibilities.

Tennessee is a 'Constitutional Carry' state.

I can tell ya’ for a fact that you’ll be more than welcome at any of these clubs!!

There are a few others, depending on your final choice of residence that you’ll find within reasonably comfortable travel distance!!

If I was moving south for retirement and had an interest in cowboy shooting Cleveland Tennessee would be at the top of my list. The Ocoee Rangers are a great club with great people to shoot with. The Oak Ridge Outlaws, Wartrace Regulators, Tennessee Mountain Marauders, North Alabama Regulators, Old York Shootists and some Georgia clubs are pretty close by. Wartrace hosts the Tennessee State match and North Alabama hosts the Southeast Regional and Alabama State. You can shoot all year round and it's not too far from the Gulf or the Atlantic or Florida.
