Then right click on the map and use the option "save file as" and then save it to your computer as a .pdf file. In your thread you can edit it by clicking on the 3 dots in the upper right corner and pick edit and then add the map by clikcing on the "choose files..." at the bottom and then find your saved map file and click on it and it will be inserted into your post. Then click save your edit and your map should be in your edited post. Hope this helps. Scout 1
Dogmeat Dad, SASS #48563L
@Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Thanks for including that information on the Mapping Software. The one I use is a little different, but they all work. When I have some free time, I would like to figure out how to get a map that allows me to select the colors for each state. That way, I could have the ones I've shot in using one color, and the ones planned for the upcoming year in another color, giving me a goal to work towards. Who knows, 52 weeks, 50 states (48 contiguous states), all on one year... It's doable! Not Likely, but doable...

Who knows, 52 weeks, 50 states (48 contiguous states), all on one year... It's doable! Not Likely, but doable... Yea that is not the program I use for mine either. I have been using the one you linked in your first thread and it only allows one color to be used. The process I use for it is pick the states either from the list of by touching then on the map, choose a color and chose add names if you want that feature. Then under "download and share" hit button to save map screenshot to capture your map. Then to download you can pick .png, .jpg or .html and I always choose .jpg so that after saving it to my hard drive I can edit it by zooming in and croping it. I kind of like what some of the others have posted that shows the states intials like what @Marauder SASS #13056 used for his. Maybe he can give us a link to the program he used. Think the all in one year is a little much to try and take on. I have already planned out my Cowboy Action Shooting calendar for 2025 and 2026. The goal is to shoot in 12 new states in 2025 and 8 new sates in 2026. If I am able to accomplish that it will only leave 3 states which includes Alaska and Hawaii. Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L
OK had to try it with multiple colors to see if I could graphically show my plan for 2025 and 2026. It worked and my key shows Spring, Summer and Fall for 2025 and 2026. Now to see if I can accomplish this goal of 12 new states next year and 8 new states in 2026.
Jackaroo, # 29989
In our Adventures with Jack n Kat we did 34 states. But I don't know to get that map up, if I can get a link I'll put 'em up. In the mean time here is a road map. Over 100000kms Not bad for a couple of Aussies. Just busy making a frame for it, we saved most of our shoot badges for the surrounds but couldn't get them all on. Black are road trips, red are flying trips. So those on the map plus New Zealand. Edited December 1 by Jackaroo, # 29989 Update

That is one impressive map! I am just starting my recovery from my Turkey Coma, so I will have to see if I can work on my map this weekend. Of course, once you complete your goal in 2026, you will have to start all over again! We will look forward to seeing you in SC this spring, and we will be in Florida the week before so maybe there also.

Well it will not be complete in 2026. If I am able to accomplish what is on my plan it will still leave DE, AK and HI all shown striped and noted as Unknown on the map. If I can manage to slip Delaware in there in 2026 the that will only leave Alaska and Hawaii for 2027 and beyond. Then of course there is Canada and Australia. Hey Jakaroo Thanks for that Wonderfull pick of the map and badges! Hope your recovery is going well. I made the latest map from this site Create your own Custom Map | MapChart you can go there and make a map of the Adventures of Jack and Kat. Making states you drove to in one color and the states you flew to in another color. That site also has other maps beyond the US to make maps of so you and the other Aussies can make and show us a map of where you have shot Down Under. Folks from Canada and Europe can do the same as well as those that have traveled beyond their home country. It would be kind of cool to see some of those maps.
