Thanks for the update though. Tried to watch it last night but Netflix was having some major problems...freezing up and constant buffering. Finally said hell with it and went to bed.

I don't know why the hate against Paul. He's a young fighter with a 11-1 record. Tyson, I agree never liked him at all!

The real fight was between the women. Good Lord, was that a fight! I thought Serrano had Taylor but the judges saw it otherwise.  Apparently I was not alone in my opinion once the crowd there voiced their displeasure at Serrano's "loss."

 

But yeah, those gals can flat out fight.

He's a self-absorbed, self-important arrogant blowhard...just the kind of people I don't particularly care for. I don't hate him, just don't care for him like many people.

I don't know from what I've heard of him he seems like an okay guy. Tyson fits that description better than Paul. IMHO

For 58 Tyson moves like he’s 78. I didn’t watch the fight but saw training clips (ads) promoting the fight. 
 

I used to love boxing, both doing it and watching it. Now I really don’t care about it. Probably due to my disdain for hype.

I figure Iron Mike is broke and put up with getting pounded because he needs the money.
Scuttlebutt says Tyson was cleaned out by unscrupulous management.

He supposedly got 20 million, Paul got 40 million!

Tyson fits that description plus a lot more disparaging words.

 

The whole deal with the headline fight seemed more like "professional" wrestling. I was kinda looking forward to watching it but Netflix buffering and picture freezing prevented that. Was kind of hoping that Robin Givins would appear out of the crowd and smack Tyson in the head with a Championship belt medallion....just for old times sake.

 

I guess Don King is dead, as is Gordon Solie.

In my humble opinion, the reason Jake Paul gets so much hate is for a couple of reasons. Here are mine:

1-His opponents have all been hand picked.

2-He's playing the heel to promote fights so he is extra obnoxious on purpose.

3-Jealousy....the kid made himself into a huge star with millions of dollars from making YouTube videos.

Tyson and Paul both won. The people lost. 

 

This was nothing more than a money grab (as is all of Paul's fights) where two friends made 20 and 40 million dollars by acting like they were in a real fight. Nothing more than a glorified sparing session.

As I understand it, neither of them threw a single decent punch......They  both lost.

The fight was a joke and embarrassment.
