Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655
Just scored one off Gunbroker, was weird searched for one and there was one with auction ending in 4 hrs. Had not seen one for many months, someone saved me from myself last year. Made the opening bid on this one and no one else put in a bid. Is anyone out there using one of these? Any pitfalls I need to watch out for? In the rare case of a reload, how easy is it to just throw a round in the ejection port? Who knows the Single Six .32 HRMs might be light enough I can go back to double dualist.
Widder, SASS #59054
Cpt Dan. From those dozen or so that I have worked on, there seems to be a common 'gremlin' among them. The PORTAL (the area of the receiver between the mag tube and carrier) is tight.....sometimes too tight to reliably allow the rim of the .32 to pass thru without dragging or stopping. Without getting long winded on this Wire, feel free to call me. Its much easier to talk on the phone than try to type information back and forth. P.S. - my main match rifle is the Marlin .32 it functions near perfect for years. ..........Widder Edited November 11, 2024 by PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L remove personal contact info

Little tiny cartridge in a great big port. Yes it is easy to throw a round into the ejection port. Remember to hold onto the inner mag tube when you are pushing it in after loading the mag tube or you may find it downrange in the dirt.

Good Info, my mouse pharts may be mousier than BRR as he uses .38 spec in the rifle.

Intitially some issues getting some of the rounds to feed into action from mag tube. Seems like if I rack the lever like I mean it every thing works. Certainly welcome a PM with your contact info I you have words of wisdom.

OK Dirty Dan
@Widder, SASS #59054I'm having what I believe is the exact issue you described with my 1894 32 H&R with the port being too small. Looks like your inbox is full--any chance you could PM me? Thank you so much!

Cpt Dan Blodgett, SASS #75655
Hit the range today, the rifle functioned flawlessly. With 74 Y/O Eyes taking Center hold on bull (not as precise as a 6 O'clock hold shot approx 1.5 inch 25 yard group dead on for elevation and about 2 inches left of point of aim.
