El Patron costume and caliber inquiries

I am restarting my SASS involvement after eight years and will be shooting in the El patron category.  I have been doing Mountain Man activities during these past eight years and would like to dress in full leathers and shoot in this category.  I see what the manual says "clothing must be typical of the late 19th century, a B WEestern movie, or Western television series." but believe that mountain man attire did reach these genres...  

 

What say you??

 

Second question:  i will be shooting in the El patron category and want to shoot 32-20 caliber pistols and rifle.  is this ok?  What say you?

AGE BASED CATEGORIES

Age based categories are offered to allow all participants to compete amongst their peers. Age based categories carry the following guidelines:

   - May use any main match revolver.

   - Revolvers may be shot in any SASS legal shooting style – EXCEPT Gunfighter.

   - May use any SASS legal main match shotgun and any legal main match rifle.

   - May use any SASS legal ammunition.
