Hmm, interesting. Of course we don’t want to give too much away for those that haven’t seen it.

We had drop in guests at the start.  Will tune in tomorrow at 7pm for the replay.  Caught the end of it.  Enjoyed the cameo, dedication, Rip's talk under the stars.

Vocabulary lesson

lorimer or loriner

noun

a maker of bits, spurs, and metal mountings for bridles and saddles

nope, it was good old dad. He and Paramount could not come to terms about him returning so they took him off the show permanently.

Episode 8 and last nights episode has many comments that are telling us ranches and cowboying is ending. Episode 8 they comment that John is acting like he's leaving. Someone says he is.

The spurs shop, when the old man says he isn't taking any more orders. Then tells Rip no ones going to be around to make spurs when Rip asks for a pair of spurs.

A lot of talk about cowboys disappearing.

Finally was able to watch it. It was okay I guess. I'll see what happens next week.

I hate that Jimmy is still involved in the show.

Not my favorite character!🙄

You gotta’ give him props for taking the role, making it work, and learning the trade in order to make it work!!

Whether you know it or not, he’s taken on some pretty intensive training and coaching to play the part.

Yeah, I know. I just don't like his character or the amount of screen time that previous episodes dedicated to the development of a character that I don't care for. I also didn't care for the episodes dedicated to introducing 'budding' country music musicians. Both dragged on too long and neither added anything worthwhile to the main storyline IMO. Strickly personal preference, I just didn't care for the sidetrack.

I agree about the “budding country music stuff”. It ain’t cowboy.

I kinda’ like the Jimmy thread and it may yet turn into something.

If it wasn't for Beth I may not even watch it. Kayce Dutton is pretty good also. Costner is terrible glad he's gone!

Don't forget Rip!

My favorite character is Kayce, followed by Rip, then Beth, then Lloyd, then Mo Brings Plenty.

Least favorite are Jamie, John (Costner) and Jimmie.

Jimmy and the 6666 ranch is being played because Taylor Sheridan is supposed to be writing a series about the ranch.

I wonder if the Cowboys at the 6666 really wear the same exact clothes as each other. Exact same red shirts, exact same hats, etc. I thought it was odd that they were on the show.

Looks like they do wear the red shirts when representing the ranch during any event, maybe not as shown on the range.  Makes sense that they are always wearing them on the show, it is essentially a giant commercial for Sheridan's ranch.

I figured they would be cleaning house as soon as the news cast was made. I was just hoping it would be Beth to take her out to the train station though. That is what she needs to do to Jamie.

I figured she’d stop short and the bullets would catch up with her!!  Guess her connections weren’t as good as Kayce’s!!

I'm not so sure it was Kayce's connections...might have been her own connections taking care of loose ends.
